Currently watching the World Cup match of Australia vs NZ,
I’m an Aussie, hubby is a kiwi.
Could be an interesting game. 😬😁
I’ve only just realised that it’s our 20 year wedding anniversary today. Found this in the fridge so hubby obvs remembered.
It’s also our 22 yr anniversary of buying our house. Woo hoo !
Went to see James Marriott tonight at the Hindley Street Music Hall. He was fantastic and the crowd was so amazing too (Adelaide crowds are not known as being very loud and responsive). Hubby and I raised the average age a bit, but Miss Boss brought it down a bit. 😁
I’ve been collecting Op Shop items in my dining room for quite a while ready to do a drop off. It’s at least 1/3 of the room now (I should probably do that Op Shop run ! 😳😁)
We finished our coffee tables today ! First pic shows how the legs are fixed in place with glue and wedges, second pic is sanded but raw, third pic is after 1 coat of oil. (Mine is the one at the front) Will need more oil layers over the coming days. 🤎
Today I did part one of a table making course. It was the BEST day, so much fun. Tomorrow we make the legs, attach them and sand and stain top. My back is killing me ! 😭
Can’t wait to see how it turns out.
I’ve just seen that Bill Oddie has passed away.
I grew up with The Goodies, absolutely loved them and I knew all the words to all the songs
RIP Bill
Went to see Heathers The Musical last night. The singing and dancing were amazing. Daughter loved it. Was too buzzed to sleep when we got home so watched the movie musical (ours was better) then started the 1988 version. Went to bed at 3am 😆
I was sad to see that David Austin of David Austin Roses has passed away. I hope his name lives on in perpetuity through his wonderful work with roses. My parents used to buy his roses and they are gone now. I hope they will give him a wave in heaven. ☺️💕
Went to see The Odyssey tonight with the fam. We all loved it.
Well worth the THREE HOURS it takes to watch it. 😳😄
I’ve made it into the Cool Kids Club! Woo hoo!
Thanks very much @UnicrnShtMttrs , a donation has been made to your very worthy cause. Cheers everyone 🍺🍺
Two years ago today I held my dad’s hand and looked into those baby blue eyes as he passed away. He was nearly 93yo.
I miss you everyday. 💙💙💙
Made this last night for dinner. Left over roast veg soup ( obvs has quite a bit of beetroot in it! 😆) and also made the bread.
Am I still allowed to call it soup if you can cut it with a knife ?
@gomichild
Went to see The Importance of Being Earnest tonight by the State Theatre Company of South Australia. It was a magnificent rendition of the book/play by Oscar Wilde. Excellent performances by all.
10/10 would recommend! 😁
My poor boy Roger is back in hospital and will be having a second bladder flush due to being blocked by struvite crystals. He’s currently off his head on methadone, so hopefully he’s not in any pain (the only thing in pain will be my bank account ! 😭)
Okey dokey fancy people. We have solar panels but not a battery but hubby has suggested getting a battery to then get an EV later. We are in Adelaide. Any suggestions for companies to go with (or NOT go with!) ? Any info gratefully appreciated.
60 years ago today my mum and dad married in Manchester, England. They honeymooned in France, sometimes staying in a tent! 😳Mum then came back to Australia with dad. They made it to their 58th anniversary. 💕
I have a six monthly blood glucose test at the crack of dawn tomorrow (9:40am) for my diabetes. Will get the results on Friday.
My dad used to like to try and “fix” the results by not eating certain things for the week before. Sanity had never run in my family. 😳🤪
Went to see @THEBETHS at The Gov last night. Absolutely fabulous show for the start of their AU tour. They’re off to Perth next then the Eastern States.
Five stars, would recommend! 😄
