President Ozymandias
In his first public appearance since his party suffered crushing electoral losses, Trump is at the site of the White House ballroom, talking about the marble he ordered for the floor.

Iowa has 31 Obama-Trump counties, more than any state in the nation. Rob Sand carried 16 of them, and 3 more were separated by less than a percentage point.
Looks like every county in Iowa moved left last night? nytimes.com/interactive/2026…

Notable observation from @kkondik exactly one year ago after Republicans were overwhelmed in the VA and NJ elections. I bet some GOP states are glad they didn't follow NC and TX over the redistricting cliff...
Tonight is such a blowout so far that I wonder if it gives some Rs pause about redistricting in states that are still pondering it. They already needed to "stress-test" the districts (and they did in TX-NC-MO, I think, even considering tonight), but still.

Yesterday was a historic night for Senate Democrats. Even before accounting for AK and MS, where Democrats are favored, they have already flipped more Senate seats in states the president won by 10+ points than all opposition parties combined over the past 40 years.

Iowa will get an entirely brand new Congressional delegation... except for 93-year-old Chuck Grassley. SEN: Turek (D, flip) IA01: Bohannan (D, flip) IA02: James (D, flip) IA03: Trone-Garriott (D, flip) IA04: McGowan (R, replacing Feenstra)
Between Randy Feenstra (#IA04) and Joni Ernst (#IASen) retiring and competitive races in #IA01, #IA02, and #IA03, there's a decent chance Iowa sees an entirely new Congressional delegation next year... except for Chuck Grassley who has been in Congress since 1959.

Turns out all those shy Trump voters that didn't show up in polling also didn't show up to vote.
The midterms might turnout bad for Republicans but they might not be that bad. Part of the issue in determining where the midterms, especially in the House, are heading are the flaws in the public opinion polls that seem to be missing shy Trump voters as they have for a decade. Thank you @NEWSMAX and @RobAstorino for having me on Saturday Agenda to share insights with fellow special guest @aditisrivastav. Tune back into @NEWSMAX tomorrow from Noon-2pm ET to see my on Sunday Agenda with host @LidiaNews.

I have to say, Angie Nixon and Rick Scott would have to be the most bizarre pair of Senators from any state. God bless you, Florida.
Orange County is nearly done counting, says the AP. That's Orlando. In 2024: Harris won 55/43. Angie Nixon wins 64% to 35%.
