Assam Rifles should have been kicked out of Manipur by @HMOIndia the day Tehelka exposed the corruption of Assam Rifles headquarter in Manipur 12 years ago (Operation Hilltop; second video). 🔗youtube.com/watch?v=tp5VhdXB… Ever since the mass rally calling for the removal of Assam Rifles from Manipur took place, two open-defecation mascots @IndianSinghh and @KreatelyMedia are unashamedly doing PR for Assam Rifles day in day out. Let us see what Assam Rifles has been doing in Manipur and why Meiteis and Nagas are openly out on the streets calling for their removal. First video: Caught red-handed by Nagas while escorting Kuki militant Aaron Kipgen (spokesperson of SoO group UPF). Second video: Snippet of the Tehelka expose. Third video: A vigilant Meitei's repeated calls for help to Assam Rifles to monitor Kuki militants' movement in Sugnu went to deaf ears. And on 28 May 2023, Meiteis in Sugnu came under attack by Meiteis. Fourth video: 37 Assam Rifles on 02 June 2023 blocked the gates of Sugnu police station for no rhyme or reason. Probably to make Kuki militants flee. Don't miss Manipur police directly yelling to Assam Rifles "Kuki militants se kitna paisa liya".

UKHRUL, MANIPUR, November 4: A video circulating on social media has sparked controversy over alleged illegal poppy cultivation in the Shongphel and Mullam areas of Manipur’s Ukhrul district, with claims linking a reported office-bearer of the Kuki Students’ Organisation (KSO) to the plantation. The circulating footage appears to show several individuals working on a cultivated hillside. Social media claims allege that Mercy Khongsai, reportedly the Vice-President of KSO Ukhrul, is among those seen in the video. The controversy comes against the backdrop of previous law enforcement operations targeting illegal poppy cultivation in the region. According to details attributed to an FIR registered at Litan Police Station, a joint operation conducted on January 20, 2024, reportedly destroyed approximately 30 acres of illegal poppy plantations across the Mullam and Shongphel hill ranges. Poppy pods were reportedly seized during the operation, and a case was registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The latest allegations have renewed concerns over the persistence of illicit cultivation in Manipur's hill districts and the effectiveness of measures intended to curb the practice. Illegal poppy cultivation has long been a major environmental and law enforcement concern in Manipur, with associated forest clearing contributing to deforestation, biodiversity loss, soil erosion and the degradation of natural water sources. Figures attributed to the Manipur Forest Department's 2025–26 annual report indicate that approximately 957 hectares of illicit poppy plantations were identified and destroyed during the reporting period. If the allegations surrounding the viral footage are established through an official investigation, the reported involvement of a student organisation office-bearer could raise serious questions regarding individual accountability and organisational responsibility. The controversy has also prompted calls for the Kuki Students’ Organisation to clarify its position and address the allegations involving its reported office-bearer. #manipur #assam #nagaland #northeastindia #arunachalpradesh

Imphal, Manipur: Thousands of people from different communities participate in a mass rally organised by COCOMI and various civil society organisations, demanding an end to the alleged “proxy war”, abrogation of the Suspension of Operations (SoO) agreement with Kuki militant groups, withdrawal of Assam Rifles and safe resettlement of internally displaced persons (IDPs). Former COCOMI Convenor Khuraijam Athouba says, "Today is a very historic day, and this is a testament to the unity of the indigenous population of Manipur. We are ready to face the injustice being carried out by the Government of India and the Government of Manipur against the people of the state. Today, we have demonstrated that the entire indigenous population, comprising 21 ethnic tribes, including the Nagas, Meiteis, Paites and every native community of the state, has come together to face the situation that Manipur has endured for the last three and a half years. Today's gathering has put forward four clear demands..."

Look at the size and composition of the crowd - people from almost every ethnic group. This is no longer about one community. It is a clear barometer of deep, collective dissatisfaction. These are ominous signs. When public patience runs out, frustration can take a more violent turn, often targeting those perceived as responsible or associated with the system. We need to pause and seriously introspect our approach before it is too late. youtu.be/vKSgA0CRseE?si=b0ka…

Son of former Myanmar MP and chief of the Chin Kuki Militant chief Thanglianpau Guite to contest the 2027 Manipur Assembly elections. In 2019, @HMOIndia was investigating how Mr Guite and his family acquired Indian citizenship documents. On ground, parts of Manipur are now occupied and/or control by the Chin Kuki Militant groups. After conceding territorial and administrative control to the Myanmarese led Militants, will India allow enable them in their efforts to legislation of Manipur, in line with their nefarious design to break Manipur. Urge the @YKhemchandSingh @manipur_police @ECISVEEP @SpokespersonECI @CeoManipur to take appropriate action.

War cry on 23/10/2026, valley districts, Manipur
Clanging and Shouting protest to Wake a Deaf government , organised by Federation of Haomee in the State of Manipur on 23rd October,2026. At first glance, it may seem unusual, or even amusing, to witness an entire state raising its voice through such demonstrations. However, behind this collective expression lies a deeply heartbreaking reality. This is the cry of a forgotten people demanding that their voices be heard by a government that has failed to listen. Every bang of a utensil and every blast of a horn represents far more than mere noise. It symbolizes the collective anguish, frustration, and desperate plea for survival, peace, and justice. While the rest of the nation continues with its daily life, an entire state remains trapped in a seemingly endless cycle of fear, grief, uncertainty, and abandonment. The suffering of its people cannot be ignored, nor should their voices be dismissed as insignificant. No people should ever have to turn their streets into platforms of desperation simply to remind the authorities that they exist, that they continue to suffer, and that their wounds remain unhealed. This is not merely a protest. It is a collective appeal for recognition, accountability, and justice. The people deserve to be heard. Their suffering deserves acknowledgment. And their demand for justice deserves a meaningful response.

Three daring leaders of Manipur who lay bare the failure of Assam Rifles: Ex-CM Biren went against all norms and scolded the security forces harshly right on their face for not saving lives and properties. His government could convince the centre to shift 22 and 09 Assam Rifles out of Manipur because of their biased role in Manipur violence. Now MLA Leishiyo Keishing without mincing any words laid bare that Assam Rifles is in Kamjong only to earn promotion and that they are not interested in saving lives and defending the border. Maheshwar Thounaojam submitted a memorandum to the home ministry to replace certain old Assam Rifles units with new ones because of their bias role. And the petty Assam Rifles sent a legal notice to him for that.
