If I could go back in time and re-watch a race for the first time, would pick this race without hesitation. This was the peak in my time being a Hamlin fan and nothing has come close ever since. Happy anniversary!

Full-season detractors point to "drivers clinching early" as their only criticism of the format. If we're going to have that under the chase anyway, might as well have full-season points.

Larson in The Chase: Can clinch as early as Martinsville Hamlin in Full Season: Can clinch as early as Martinsville Is the Chase closer? Sure. But if the concern is early clinching, it’s the same regardless! xitter.gq/_danielcespedes/status…

If Larson wins the title Sunday, he should get to celebrate the title Sunday. While this is far from a guarantee, and although it has been 23 years since another driver did the same, NASCAR is dropping the ball by not accounting for this outcome. Disappointing.
Notes: -Homestead qualifying order (metric, Chase drivers last) and pit selection (OReilly/truck-this week's qualifying results) same as rest of Chase. Contenders don't go last order/pit selection (like Champ 4 did) -No trophy ceremony if driver clinches title at Martinsville

Potential hot take: If you don’t take issue with a driver clinching a week early in the Chase (you shouldn’t), then they might as well be running full season points anyway.

RIP Charles Xavier, Captain Picard, Sir Patrick Stewart. I’m really glad he got to portray Professor X one final time.
All of us at Marvel Studios are deeply saddened by the passing of Sir Patrick Stewart. Sir Patrick brought Professor Charles Xavier to life with extraordinary grace, intelligence, and humanity, defining the character for generations of fans, from "X-Men" to "Logan" to "Avengers: Doomsday." He was a singular talent, a generous collaborator, and a true gentleman. Our hearts go out to his wife Sunny, his children, his friends, and the countless fans around the world whose lives he touched with his art.

Idk who needs to hear this (actually I know exactly who needs to hear this) but the fans who asked for a points format where the champion could potentially clinch before the final race ARE NOT THE SAME FANS as the ones currently complaining that Larson may clinch the title

This is going down to the wire. @KamrenKSG has Blaney at Martinsville and Allmendinger at Homestead I've got Elliott and Martinsville and then Larson at Homestead. 🤝

I wanna see someone clinch early no matter the series just to teach this fanbase that you aren't always gonna get close points battles but when you do that's what make those feel special. The playoffs has spoiled people and its time to learn to deal with runaways in NASCAR again
I want Larson to clinch at Martinsville mostly because it would be funny but he's also ran an insanely good Chase. Last week alone he put nearly 70 points between him and the next best

Denny Hamlin won the 2012 Kroger 200 at Martinsville fourteen years ago today. 🏁 He started at the rear of the field and passed Matt Crafton for the lead with five laps to go.

I may not like Larson, but if he wins the title, anyone that discredits his Chase run and championship will immediately discredit Tony Stewart’s 2011 championship. Thank you and good night nascartwt.

Horrible comms. The officiating crew is as good as it has ever been, and it really shouldn't be up for debate.
