Sometimes I’m asked ‘why do you care?’
‘Swifts are one of the oldest species on earth. They spend more time airborne than any other bird yet when they come home they come home to us. They’re on the brink. They just need a brick with a hole in it.’

Swift action anyone? Email [email protected] simply saying ‘please mandate swift bricks’ with a subject line: MANDATE SWIFT BRICKS. Please encourage everyone to do this. Will take 30 seconds.

3 years ago I launched the swift brick camapign. 2 years ago Labour voted for the same legislation they’ve just turned down. They can still embrace it but please use your voices to encourage them. Ask your MP to sign this EDM edm.parliament.uk/early-day-…
The govt says they'll build with nature in mind. Birds reliant on our 🏡 need swift bricks, a uniquely vital measure, to be mandated to save them from extinction. On the 2YEAR anniversary of #TheFeatherSpeech We ask @AngelaRayner @mtpennycook @SteveReedMP to act

We’ve had no rain for a few weeks now (which isn’t normal for the North West of England) and it’s really affecting our wildlife. The ground is so hard that they cannot forage for worms and they are desperate for water.
So please consider putting a bowl out even if it’s in the garden ,woods or fields.
This was two of the cubs last night 🦡🦡🐾🐾❤️

BIG NEWS!!!! it is official, there will be a GCSE in Natural History. Feel quite overwhelmed. Maybe these little ones and all other wildlife might have a better future.

A vote for this bill is a vote for a liveable future & I urge every single MP to join me in passing this historic piece of legislation. Those who vote against must look to their consciences & ask why they're prepared to squander this historic opportunity

Pleased to have won cross-party support for my Bill to introduce a national ban on pesticide use in public spaces!
More needs to be done to stop councils using toxic chemicals which are a danger to people, pets and children using these spaces, and the wider environment 🌱🐝
