The #Eagles are making a QB change: It’ll be Joe Milton III for Sunday’s game against the #Giants, sources tell @AdamSchefter and me. Less than a month after signing in Philly, Milton takes over for Tanner McKee.

and everyone on tv rather talk about how injury prone Lamar is lol
I don’t think ppl really get how insane this is. A team’s GM put together an o-line so bad that all QBs on the roster got injured in the same game and two of them suffered season-ending injuries. That’s unheard of. That’s so bad, it’s not even Jets-level incompetence. It’s worse.

EPA is correlated with winning because it’s based around a positive result. That would be like showing a chart of scoring more touchdowns being correlated around winning. This chart isn’t saying much.

I’m so glad your football coverage has dissolved into charts. Embarrassing

Wow. Teams good at scoring points and preventing points is correlated with winning? No way. Anyway, here is the basic math of point differential outperforming epa.

I'm all for dunking on Fehoko, he's a clown. But Ben has decided to do the spiderman meme with Fehoko by posting a correlation graph. Analytics worshippers are as clueless about math as the people they dunk on for not worshipping the metrics they don't understand either.

An Egyptian politician doing the racist "China is just copying us" bit, reserved for white ppl. El-Sayed's parents were F-1 visa ENGINEERING students. America's capitalist and racist school system can't reliably produce STEM grads. That's why they spam immigrants.

Already changing your tune lol Went from unicorns to the collection of best. Another cliche. Are those supposed 7 nfl guys because of talent or draft eligibility?
They pick the BEST guys from wherever.. each of those teams have at most 7 NFL guys meanwhile every NFL team has 53 NFL guys ..in college you are going to play against guys who are a 5/10 in the nfl everybody is 10/10

This is just a cliche you’ve heard repeated a lot. Everybody in the pros came from college football. NFL teams spam draft from the same conferences.
It’s one thing to be the biggest fastest strongest guy on the field it’s another to just be one of a bunch of big strong fast guys which is what going up levels does it’s easy to not get hurt when you are untouchable due to the talent difference

Imagine someone in track and field saying they have found a way to measure Javelin throwing or the Shot Put differently than the 100m race. Thank you captain obvious. Almost like throwing an object and running with an object are not the same thing
I've long thought the low-variance nature of rushing *combined with the football rule of 4 downs to get 10 yards* makes running more valuable than EPA/P suggests. And I think I've got a way to conclusively demonstrate it. More to come on that, but... xitter.gq/bburkeESPN/status/2115…

Analytics is so unscientific. It's embarrassing. Burke is teasing some hacky bogus new metric, as they slowly try to pivot away from their anti-run dogma that was never mathematically sound
