I don't recall Jimmy Kimmel calling for Obama to resign when the Dems lost more seats during his presidency.
Jimmy Kimmel tells Donald Trump to "resign" as U.S. president after the Republicans' losses in the midterm elections: “The verdict is in, and there’s only one thing left for Nappy Gilmore to do: Resign. Quit already, just quit. Nobody wants you. Even you don’t want to be president anymore. Take that billion dollars worth of crypto, buy an island. Maybe Epstein’s island? Wouldn’t that be a perfect end to this story!” Kimmel also railed against Trump claiming he would've won if he were on the ballot: "That is such crap. You were on the ballot. You’re like dog hair; you’re on everything. You’ve infected every nook and cranny of our lives. You divided this country like no one else ever divided it before. The only time you ever brought us together was yesterday, when we all teamed up to get rid of you!" variety.com/2026/tv/news/jim…

Arizona used to feel like Arizona. Too many people fled their own mess, moved here, then tried to rebuild the same mess. I'm not moving. I'm fighting for the state I grew up in.

Well, they absolutely should be happy. But here's the irony: This might be the last political victory they ever get to celebrate. Let me explain why. Donald Trump has just suffered a devastating political setback. Republicans have lost control of both the House and the Senate. And the consequences extend far beyond the next two years. Trump has always cared deeply about his legacy. He wants historic achievements attached to his name. He wants to be remembered as the president who accomplished what others couldn't. Now consider the political reality. With Democrats taking control of Congress in January, Trump's domestic agenda will face significantly greater obstacles. Meanwhile, Republicans must confront an uncomfortable question: What can they accomplish between now and 2028 that fundamentally changes the political narrative? And where does that leave JD Vance and the Republican Party's hopes of holding the White House? Here's where Iran enters the equation. In my view, the political calculations surrounding Iran may have changed dramatically overnight. Before the midterms, expanding military confrontation with the Islamic Republic carried enormous political risks. A prolonged conflict, rising energy prices, economic uncertainty, and public frustration could all damage Republicans at the ballot box. But that election is now behind us. The political cost of escalation has not disappeared. Yet the incentives facing the administration may be different. And there is another crucial detail that should not be overlooked. The newly elected Congress does not take office until January 3, 2027. That leaves a roughly two-month period during which the current Congress remains in place. Now add Israel's strategic interests, Netanyahu's political calculations, and the unresolved confrontation with the Islamic Republic. Suddenly, the picture becomes considerably more complicated than a simple Republican electoral defeat. I believe Trump may face increasing pressure to deliver a defining foreign-policy achievement during the remainder of his presidency. And few developments would be more consequential for the Middle East than the end of the Islamic Republic. Of course, military escalation does not guarantee regime change. Nor would regime change automatically guarantee a Republican victory in 2028. Anyone claiming otherwise is confusing political speculation with certainty. But here's my central argument: A political defeat at home can fundamentally change a president's calculations abroad. What looked too politically costly before November 3 might be evaluated very differently afterward. And if Trump believes that a historic breakthrough involving Iran could redefine his presidency, the consequences could extend far beyond the outcome of these midterms. So to those celebrating inside the IRGC tonight, I have one question: Are you celebrating because you've won, or because you haven't yet realized how much the political equation has changed? Because sometimes the victory you celebrate today becomes the beginning of a much bigger crisis tomorrow.
No one is happier tonight than the IRGC

Crazy that DeSantis is more adept at repudiating the GOP without throwing Trump under the bus than the Vice President is. He's learning.
🚨 JUST IN: Gov. Ron DeSantis says Republicans lack a Donald Trump-like figure for 2028 so we have to go FULL "IDEAS-BASED" and "RESULTS" to win "President Trump is a unique figure because he has a unique brand and persona that attracted a LOT of support." "Going forward, it's gotta be ideas based." "NOBODY in our party has that outsized persona and brand." "What are we trying to accomplish? That's what we've done in Florida...we delivered results. We're gonna move into an ideas-based future because I don't think anybody can take up all the oxygen in the room the way the president can." We DEFINITELY want to see some big common sense wins and a CLEAR vision against the Democrat insanity that is about to ensue come January 2027. We all know Dems will not actually be common sense. Voters in the midterms approved ballot initiatives that are conservative in nature!

Victor Davis Hanson just rejected JD Vance’s claim that the Iran war cost Republicans the midterms. “It’s not the war.” Now, he says President Trump needs to hit Iran “very, very hard.” “Pickaxe Mountain.” “For two or three weeks.” Hanson is convinced that Trump “did the impossible” in the beginning of the Iran war, “but they didn’t explain it.” “They didn’t say to the American people, 7 presidents said you can’t let them get a nuclear weapon.” “They’re closer than ever before.” “This is an existential threat.” “When the war broke out, he had over 50% approval.” “And they had a spectacular success for the first 38 days.” “There were mistakes, but the biggest problem was we had almost won.” “Then once they stopped in 38 [days], they were not quite done yet.” “They hadn’t prepared for the Hormuz.” Then, he says they failed by letting negotiations drag on for months on end. “We still have eight months before the midterm.” “Six months.” “Five months.” “Four months.” “Three months.” “They got into a haggling with people who don’t tell the truth and have no intention to negotiate.” And now, he says Iran’s leaders are celebrating. “These people are sky-high, high-fiving themselves that they stopped Trump with the midterms.” “And they’re not going to negotiate.” @VDHanson

This wasn't just the vibe after 2020. It was the vibe after the 2018 and 2022 midterms as well. I warned ahead of these midterms that regardless of the result, prefabricated 'MAGA is dead' narratives would be brought to bear. And they have appeared as advertised.
None of you remember the vibes post-2020. MAGA was dead. Any association with Trump was political poison. Republicans weren’t winning power for the next decade. And you know what happened? Trump came back. He is quite possibly the only man on earth who could have pulled it off, and he did. He was able to come back after 2020, so I have faith that he can come back from this.

As a rule: Buy these on GOG instead. They play better, they're updated to run on modern machines, and you are given an offline installer, so you actually somewhat own your games.

Bret Weinstein just dropped a bombshell announcement. He’s launching a new America First party. This changes everything about the 2028 election. “We will not be voting our way out of our crisis through the uniparty.” “The idea is to take over the Libertarian Party.” “And to rebrand it the American Liberty Party.” “I’m partnering with the Mises Caucus.” “The hard-headed folks who have libertarian values, but are also frustrated by the way the party functions.” “Some of us thought that we might drain the swamp by voting for a renegade.” “That does not seem to have worked.” “Overwhelmingly, the Trump administration has fallen short on many of its promises.” “I think we would be at war in Iran no matter what.” “This war was going to happen because the powers involved in the uniparty wanted this war to happen.” “Our system is built to frustrate the production of a viable third party.” “The Libertarian Party, for all of its defects, has managed to gain ballot access in all 50 states.” “That said, the Libertarian Party has historically had difficulty finding a candidate worth voting for.” “The idea is a friendly takeover of the Libertarian Party.” “The slogan [is] the new home for the America First movement.” “What we mean here is America First in the most obvious sense of the term.” “American policy should always be in the interests of the American people.” @BretWeinstein @LPMisesCaucus @ALPNational

Months ago I posted that Marco Rubio was better than JD Vance at delivering the message on Iran. Jack Posobiec called me a bad actor. The Vice President’s comms director reposted that “bad actor” post. I was right, and instead of calling me a bad actor, they should have listened.
