Canada should not be unilaterally weighing in on this issue. The UN itself classifies the "ownership" of these islands simply as disputed.
Canada's foreign policy strategy CANNOT be to just jump into disputes on the side of whoever we are signing a trade agreement with today.
I strongly condemn Prime Minister Mark Carney’s statement regarding Iran’s three islands of Abu Musa, Greater Tunb, and Lesser Tunb.
By endorsing the UAE’s territorial claims and referring to Iran’s presence on these islands as an “occupation,” Canada has taken an unacceptable position that disregards Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Canada should know better than to compromise the fundamental principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity for the sake of economic and political partnerships.
The three islands are an inseparable part of Iran. Iran’s territorial integrity is not negotiable.

I support Palestine Action and so do the people of the UK.
Anyone planning to attend a demonstration in support of Palestine Action in the vicinity of the US Embassy on Saturday, 31 October will face arrest as part of a robust policing operation.
Expressing support for the group is an offence under the Terrorism Act following its proscription in June 2025, a decision upheld by the Court of Appeal in June 2026.

🚨 This Israeli Rabbi just admitted something insane:
“For Israel to have nuclear weapons, we had to sell stolen black babies to families in the US, where they did medical experiments on them. Now Israel has enough nuclear power to wipe out the entire world in a minute.”
This is the Yemenite Children Affair (1950s) : Thousands of babies from poor Yemeni Jewish families “disappeared” right after birth in Israeli transit camps and hospitals.
Parents were told their newborns had “suddenly died.”
Many were reportedly kidnapped and either:
1. Sold for adoption to childless Ashkenazi families (in Israel and abroad), or
2. Used in medical experiments.
Over 1,000 cases are officially documented.
Some estimates go up to 4,500.
In 2016, Netanyahu publicly acknowledged the state took “hundreds” of children without consent.
The video below is the Rabbi himself bragging about it.
This is one of the darkest and least-talked-about chapters of early Israeli history.
How is this not discussed everywhere? – at Washington, DC

Omg, this is exactly how I feel. It is wearing on me mentally which is affecting me physically. Its nothing to what Palestinians are having to endure but if @CanadaFP would at the very minimum, sanction Israel, it would help. Thank you so much for your post. I was feeling like there was something wrong with me.

BREAKING: OVER 4,000 TOTAL TERRORISM ARRESTS AS 94 YEAR OLD MARGARET OWEN ARRESTED AGAIN
Today's arrests outside the US Embassy in London bring the total number of arrests under the Terrorism Act in the UK for defying the ban on Palestine Action to over 4,000.

Extremely disquieting that the world is still doing nothing.
Remember when few weeks ago we saw images of Rafah flattened and Israeli bulldozers literally changing the face of the earth there?
Nothing of the sort in the north of Gaza in this footage. The earth's face did not change here, there are people living here. The footage shows the scars of the genocide, and it shows those who survived living amid the ruins of their land, their community, and their lives.
Now you understand why Israel is bulldozing everything, and you understand why Israel still refuses access to journalists in Gaza.

@MarkJCarney
J 'Accuse
Three years spent watching violence go unpunished can produce profound moral fatigue. The brain attempts to protect itself, oscillating between anger, grief, emotional numbing, and hypervigilance. After prolonged exposure to scenes of suffering without accountability, justice, or meaningful change, trust in institutions erodes. Such sustained exposure can amount to a deep moral injury, one whose psychological effects may endure long after the events themselves.
Canada cannot remain this timid, this morally indifferent, in the face of so much suffering.
Denounce the violations of the Gaza ceasefire. Send observers to assess the situation in the West Bank. Segregation? Apartheid?
Damn it, do something.

Carney's plan is for Canada to become a major player making and selling weapons of war internationally. It's laid out in his new Defence Strategy.
He's courting the EU and various human rights violators and refusing to sanction Israel because he is courting them as customers.

It is not unfair to call it a conspiracy theory. Though I'm not a conspiracy theorist.
But now we see how everything Israel does is a conspiracy theory come to life. Comic book villiany without a superhero.
And the alignment of Canada, the UK, AU and EU with them is telling.

Ever felt that a govt was outright lying, manipulating and gaslighting with zero interest in what Canadians actually want or value.
Ever felt that my tax dollars and the machinery of govt was being hijacked to build a military industrial complex to financially benefit others.

I've occassionally been pissed off at govts and disagreed with them. Harper's govt was pretty slippery.
But this is the first time that I have ever feared for our rights and our democracy. Ever felt that a govt was purposefully undermining our nation values and character.

It feels odd to say - but their political positions and actions are conclusive.
In particular:
• the fascistic legislation embuing individual Ministers with unConstititiinal powers, and
• continuing to arm and support Israel, and buy up defence tech companies here.

Many in Carney's Cabinet are morally bereft, but I feel strongly that this pairing is particularly dangerous - Carney and Anand.
Their shared moral cowardness, religion-based racism, lack of geopolitical knowledge, and cool arrogance have led to a uniquely cruel Canadian govt.

The media hides behind the sensitive woke culture and will never show the true horrors of Israel’s actions.
Don’t stop talking about Gaza.

And Carney quintupled Canada's military expenditure and VOLUNTEERED Canada to build and coordinate a fully scaled, multinational brigade in Latvia *and equip it and arm it with our tanks and weapons sent overseas* -- all to support the growth and profitability of that sector.
