I have an "Important Gems" folder. Many of you don't even know that you can create folders inside your bookmarks.
You don't have to keep everything in one place. You can organise your bookmarks into different folders like Important, Must Read, Work, Funny, and more.
That's why I'm saying the bookmark button is not there for decoration. It's another way to show that you find a post valuable. Even if you don't fully agree with a post, you can still bookmark it.
If you like a post, don't just like it β BOOKMARK it too. It can help the post reach more people.

Can we normalise BOOKMARKING posts the way we normalize reposting?
Because honestly, it makes no sense at all. Youβll see a post with over 100 comments, 100+ likes, plenty reposts, but when you check the bookmark, na just 3 BOOKMARKS.
How? Like how does that even make sense?
That BOOKMARK button is not for fancy. Itβs not just there for decoration. That button is a SUPER LIKE for the algorithm.
Likes and comments are good, but bookmark tells X that this post has value, that people want to come back to it. Thatβs when X will start pushing it to the For You page. Thatβs how a post goes barrier.
So it will make sense that we start bookmarking posts even when you donβt fully relate to the post. You donβt have to relate to everything before you support it.
Bookmarking is free support. It costs you nothing but it helps the poster a lot.
