This Veterans Day, take some time to remember and honor those who have worn the uniform of our great nation. We are grateful for both their dedication and their sacrifice in defense of our freedoms.

Stephanie and I are walking confidently forward—thankful that our country is on a much better trajectory today than two years ago when we first stepped into public office. We are grateful beyond words at having had the singular honor of serving our community and serving our country in the House of Representatives. We will continue in some capacity to be a part of the restoration of America that has just begun! Lots of good things ahead, we are walking by faith and not by sight.

Last night, I visited ITC High School to talk about the Children Rising Center, which is committed to serving families with accessible learning, recreation, and health services. I worked with Syracuse officials to secure $3 million in federal funding for this important project.

On National First Responders Day, take a moment to remember and thank the brave men and women who tirelessly work to keep our communities safe. The police, firefighters, EMTs, and emergency personnel who are just a call away have earned our deepest gratitude and full support.

This morning, I attended the St. Joseph’s Hospital Fall Legislative Roundtable with local and state officials, as well as representatives of the healthcare providers who continue to tirelessly serve our community. Afterward, I met individually with St. Joe’s leadership, and we discussed their ongoing negotiation with Excellus. In the interest of the patients and families who will be impacted by the outcome of these negotiations, I will continue to call for more transparency and productive dialogue between involved parties. My office will hold a Roundtable next week to discuss this and other issues affecting healthcare in the 22nd district. As open enrollment begins, my top priority is ensuring that patients can continue to count on the quality care they’ve received from our region’s hospitals.

It was great to celebrate yesterday’s ribbon-cutting at the Hematology/Oncology Associates of Central New York with so many local leaders and community members. I wish HOACNY the best as they continue their legacy of providing care, now at their new facility in Camillus!

My good friend @RepFrenchHill joined me in meeting with HSLC members for coffee and policy discussion this morning at Salt City Market. It was great to speak directly with the community leaders working tirelessly to serve Central New Yorkers!

It was great to spend this morning with the manufacturers who have been a backbone of our community at MACNY’s annual Legislative Breakfast. Local manufacturing is the past, present, and future of our district, and I’m proud to stand with those creating opportunity here in CNY.

Stephanie and I had a wonderful time with everyone who braved the rain to see the wreath-laying at the Christopher Columbus Statue. The Italian-Americans who have made this country their home contribute uniquely to our culture, and this tradition honors them, past and present.
