newyorker.com/magazine/2024/… we agree! Physical barriers into the street seem most appropriate outside the front of Broadway shows for many reasons including noise and crowd mitigation. The blaring music draws customers in the streets to the #pedicabs; however, it compromises shows.

How about direct payments to #pedicab and #cycletruck operators instead.
The city and state can honor battery-assisted bicycles and their drivers by repealing the 2020 NYS law that opened up a can of deadly and destructive worms in the first place: Make E-bikes E-bikes Again (MEEA)
We need to embrace the growth of e-bikes — not ignore it.
This means building wider lanes for e-bikes & scooters, creating safe public charging stations, and providing $$$ for safe bikes & batteries.
Without this, gas mopeds are seen as the only option.
