Delayed, not Denied: Chief Justice admits brother, niece to bar
By Peggy Mwansakilwa
WHEN Kebby Malila first dreamed of becoming a lawyer, the door would not open. When it finally did, nearly three decades later, he walked through it side by side with his daughter, Tawanda Malila, with his own elder brother, Chief Justice Mumba Malila, presiding over their admission to the Bar.

You lot should be thankful for democracy! Elseways you wouldn't even have this opportunity to be fan boys!
Lions! Even living is dangerous 😂
A heartbreaking scene. One of the males of the Serondela pride attacked this young male on Chobe river. Looks like he broke his spine.

Hello lovely people. I have taken up the task of helping UTH’s neonatal intensive care unit with their fundraiser. They’re trying to raise money to get equipment. If you or your organisation are interested, please reach out to me. And please retweet this for me ❤️

People who travel abroad to buy groceries, furnish houses or import containers of products may seem extra, but our economy is tiring and basic AF. We’re still stocking the same products from decades ago. Maybe retailers are just responding to stagnant demand but yoh, exhausting.
The quotes underneath have to be a serious indictment on the men and fathers in SA! Did none of these women and the men they are complaining about have functional fathers?🤷🏾🤦🏾Perhaps apartheid wiped them all out!

Meet the man who closed over 6000 churches & 100 mosques Rwandan President, Paul Kagame
“I have closed over 6000 churches and 100 mosques in my country and I am now demanding for a theology degree for every religious leader. Stop playing with people's faith and making it a business. Rwanda is already a blessed country"

It's gotten TOXIC!
As I reported yesterday, the factional battle within ZANUPF pitting President Emmerson Mnangagwa against his deputy, Vice President Constantino Chiwenga, a retired general, is intensifying. Today the war of carefully chosen words continued.
President Mnangagwa thanked those who attended the Presidential Fundraising Dinner, held to raise money for the party's 23rd National People's Conference, which is taking place this week in Chinhoyi. As I said yesterday, the Vice President and his faction stayed away.
Senior figures aligned to him, among them retired General Anselem Sanyatwe, were absent.
The President did not hide his displeasure. After thanking those who came, he openly registered his disappointment, pointing out that some members of the Politburo had not attended.
He then switched to Shona and asked the audience, rhetorically, whether they had heard what he had just said. It was a message aimed squarely at bus deputy seated next to him.
Where this battle ends will shape the future of ZANUPF, but not necessarily the future of Zimbabwe. I say this because ZANUPF remains ZANUPF regardless of who leads it. It is a system of governance, not a single man.
We saw this when the late former President Robert Mugabe was removed and President Mnangagwa took over.
The face at the top changed, but the system did not. Whoever wins this fight inherits the same machinery, and ordinary Zimbabweans should not expect their lives to change simply because one faction triumphs over another.
Kagame?😂 What do you imagine that man has done in 30 years that no one else could? or why do we imagine it's a better place to live in than say Botswana or even Namibia?

Zambia needs strong institutions to push for nation building plan. We don't need strong personality, but strong institutions. Institutions
guided by the rule of law, not by individual desire. We run a system that prepares people for state exploitation.
I back this arrest mwe!

Ever heard of close control? Or maybe you just started watching football?
Replying to @UtdMaI
The funniest thing is that nobody’s denying Messi was a brilliant footballer. But the moment you ask his fans to name ONE aspect of football where he’s genuinely untouchable, they start listing Ballon d’Ors and team trophies.
I’m asking about footballing ability, not award ceremonies. Surely that’s not too difficult a question?
