I understand that the BC Conservatives may not have had a lot of time to put this document together, but the fiscal plan comes across as one of the more reckless on offer from any political party in the country in recent years.
BC Conservative platform is out conservativebc.ca/plan/ - I’ll take a closer look but at first glance, don’t see a detailed plan to pay for major promises incl. big income tax cut other than talk of accelerating economic growth. Deficit reduction similar to NDPs. More to come
🚨 NEW: THE BC CONSERVATIVES SCRAMBLED TO DROP ONE CANDIDATE. WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER 15, AND THE PERSON RUNNING THEIR CAMPAIGN?
1. Heather Maahs: called gay people immoral
2. Sheldon Clare: said local politicians “need hanging”
3. Anna Kindy: said it's better to get sick than get vaccinated
4. Tony Luck: health care will “take the brunt” of cuts
5. Kristina Loewen: compared pandemic rules to the Holocaust
6. Steve Kooner: called inclusive education “garbage perverted ideology”
7. Jody Toor: presented herself as a medical doctor. She isn’t one.
8. Ward Stamer: wants American booze back on B.C. shelves
9. Harman Bhangu: said antifa dressed as Trump supporters stormed the Capitol
10. Sharon Hartwell: says Democrats stole the 2020 election from Trump
11. Bryan Tepper: called Jan. 6 a “lie”
12. David Williams: shared a map of western Canada as a U.S. protectorate
13. Bruce Banman: needs “more information” on whether climate change is real
14. Lawrence Mok: blamed B.C. for Trump’s tariffs
15. Macklin McCall: criticized police for responding to an illegal protest
16. The Campaign Director: posted “F*** Islam”
Doerkson is real bad at the #bcpoli comeback.
“I know you are but what am I” vibes.
On a serious note, his grasp of the wide range of issues is seriously lacking. Eby has the edge of being in government and knowing the files. Doerkson thrust into this role unprepared.
Having Doerkson attacking on the right and Lowan attacking on the left seems to help Eby look more centrist and reasonable. #bcpoli leader debate.
Russian data centres go 💥
Let’s test #bcpoli rage baiters and the right wingers who have fallen for it.

As we prepare to vote the BCTF and the HEU are asking every political party to state where they stand on the use of the notwithstanding clause and protecting Canadian’s constitutional rights. #bcpoli bctf.ca/news-and-opportuniti…
Doerkson drew the line at racism and murder.
Homophobes. Anti-vaxxers. Convoy crowd. All still cool.
#bcpoli
NEW - @LDoerkson has fired Victoria-Beacon Hill candidate @casagou over his comments about Pakistan and killing protesters.
"There is no excuse for this. I will not tolerate it. The candidate in Victoria-Beacon Hill is no longer a Conservative candidate. If elected, he will not serve in the Caucus.""
Big tough talking Conservative only big and tough behind a keyboard. Classic. This is who the @Conservative_BC is and who they rage baited for years. #bcpoli
NEW - Joachim Agou has been removed as a BC Conservative candidate for Victoria-Beacon Hill.
Joachim was meant to do a coffee meet and greet on Fort St. He spent four minutes refusing to answer reporters’ questions. #bcpoli
Safer streets and a downtown that works... for racists.
Didn't take him long to lock his twitter. How many more right wing rage bait artists are running for the @Conservative_BC? #bcpoli

Absolutely horrific racism from this Conservative candidate.
Attacking the Pakistani community as "a sh*thole," joking about killing protestors, celebrating white supremacist figures.
There's only one way for Lorne Doerkson to respond: fire this candidate immediately.

As this story goes viral, it's my responsibility as a residential school historian and expert on denialism to point out: the evidence about large numbers of child death and unmarked burials at residential school is already freely, publicly available: nctr.ca/wp-content/uploads/2…
Sooke brewery owner terminated after ‘Show Me the Evidence’ shirt sparks backlash on Truth and Reconciliation Day ctvnews.ca/vancouver/vancouv…
Reminder for #bcpoli
Freedom of Expression/Speech ≠ Freedom from Consequences.
Also, don’t be an A**hole is a pretty good rule of thumb.
Sooke Brewing Company says it has fired co-owner and head brewer John Adair after a photo of him wearing a T-shirt at the brewery that said “Show me the evidence” on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation drew heavy backlash online. vancouver.citynews.ca/2026/1…

BC Conservative leader Lorne Doerkson has vowed to repeal SOGI, calling it a “lightning rod for division.”
@vancolour explains why he thinks that reasoning is just not good enough in today’s BC Election MOment, exclusively on Sitka Media 👇
There’s nothing to “repeal” unless he means banning books and what people can say.
Sounds like dangerous Danielle Smith territory who hammered schools and LQBTQ youth with the Notwithstanding Clause.
So much for freedom of expression #bcpoli. This guy is right wing dangerous
The last 48 hours have shown #bcpoli that @Conservative_BC have a huge problem. They fanned the flames of white nationalism and anti-LGBTQ hate.
Win or lose, they won’t be able to hold this “free enterprise coalition” together. Too many online culture warriors in their ranks.
At this point, @LDoerkson and the @Conservative_BC should come out and say what books they want to ban. SOGI isn’t some kind of law or curriculum. It’s optional resources that promote kindness and respect and understanding and diversity.
What books is he going to ban? #bcpoli
Hey #bcpoli
I’m gay. I’m a man. That’s my sexual orientation and gender identity. (SOGI).
We all have both. Schools must be safe and welcoming for all students, workers, and families. The “controversy” is all myth.
No one is telling kids what to do or who to be.
Chill out.
