Ball of the Century
#OnThisDay in 1993, Shane Warne bowled his first ball in England and that turned out to be the Ball of the Century.
It drifted lazily onto leg stump, then spat back a yard or two and clipped the top of off.
The famous picture of Ian Healy aahing and Gatting oohing tells the story perfectly.

The best side in England in 1985 was clearly Everton.
On 15th May, they attempted to add a European title to their domestic dominance.
They faced SK Rapid Wien in Rotterdam and, although the Austrians held out for nearly an hour, the Toffees eventually went through the gears to triumph 3-1.

Forever in our hearts Seve…
15 years since his passing, we pay tribute to Seve today, a legend of the Ryder Cup and an icon of our game. Great seeing all European players around the world on all the different tours wearing navy and white in his honour.

And then birdied 11 from 4 feet, hit it stiff on 12 and drove the 380 yard 13th to win the match! The Ryder Cup King.

Just had the pleasure of hosting my good friend @garethfarrelly1 on behalf of the #EvertonShareholdersAssocition.
He was, as ever, excellent and graciously allowed me to be in his slipstream.
Thank you to the association for asking us.
Lunch soon, mate.
Up the Toffees.

Had a lot of msgs/DMs/WhatsApps today from some folks I already know and many that I don’t about the poem in @HowardsWayFilm’s End of an Era documentary
Too many to mention individually but thanks to all.
In 3 parts, the film should, if possible be watched in its entirety.
