More than quarter of the season gone and Everton sit sixth, despite semi-detached owners and obvious squad deficiencies. Also through to the last eight of the League Cup. Also won 3 games in the past 10 days. But Blues on here still want Moyes ‘the dinosaur’ gone. Strange bunch

Well done Everton. Much better than Newcastle. Nothing at all from the Toon. Very very poor. 🤬

If you expected Everton to get a result at the champions without Branthwaite and Grealish, to the point where you're now fuming, I think you need to adjust your expectations for your own sanity. #EFC

The ultimate Brexit throwback contradiction.
In 2016, Farage promised that leaving the EU would finally let the UK “control migration.”
Today, he's on social media calling the borders “utter insanity” and demanding mass deportations.
If his original plan had worked, he wouldn't need to campaign to scrap the asylum system now.

Just had an unfortunate doomscroll of @LeeHurstComic's timeline.
A man whose career peaked sitting next to Gary Lineker on *They Think It's All Over*. Even then, people mainly remembered the bloke on the other team.
He opened his own comedy club, the Backyard, which was smart, because it was the only way he could guarantee a booking. He's the only comedian whose biggest audience is the people blocking him on X. His tweets get more replies than his gigs ever got laughs, and most of the replies are corrections.
Lee calls himself a free thinker, which is true, because nobody would pay for those thoughts. He's spent so long complaining that comedy has gone woke, you'd think something had stopped him being funny. Mate, that was the '90s, and you managed it all on your own.
He's built a whole second career out of being angry online. That's impressive for a man who's never once made his point in under 280 characters. He's the only comic on the circuit whose material ages worse than his photos.
And to be fair, he does have a legacy. Every young comedian who walks past his club learns the most important lesson in the business: get famous on a panel show, then quit before anyone notices you've stopped telling jokes.

As I predicted. Reform get caught bang to rights. Is their response to hold up their hands? Nope. It's to dial 999 and send the police after the journalists who dared to expose them.
STATEMENT:
Reform UK has reported ITV, its board, and its undercover reporters to the police.
Some of the crimes carry up to 10 years in prison.
They forged a passport.
They directly interfered in elections and almost certainly altered the results. Being paid to “canvass” for Reform in crucial wards we lost by a few dozen votes.
They lied to a veteran about their service and left him “violated”.
This is unprecedented.
The police are now involved.
Scrutiny of political parties is one thing.
But anyone breaking the law to try and ruin the lives of Reform’s staff, members or volunteers will be reported to the police and pursued relentlessly in the courts.

Liar!! Mayors can’t sign binding international trade agreements!
This morning, I signed a landmark trade agreement with Tainan in Taiwan, strengthening ties between our regions and creating new opportunities for trade, investment and innovation.
Greater Lincolnshire has a huge amount to offer, and this agreement is another step towards showing the world what we do best. 🇹🇼 🇬🇧
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
UK mayors cannot sign binding international trade agreements (reserved for central UK government); Taiwanese reports describe this as a sister city twinning agreement, and prior official statements called it a non-binding MOU for local cooperation.
