We’ve now arrived at church endorsement of pedophiles. Jesus weeps…
Convicted for raping a 12 year old, he'll soon be will soon be the 'Missouri state director' of a church. Church officials say that since 2008, he's hasn't lived without reoffended. How can they claim to know that, can they? tinyurl.com/j37jpuue

FYI the #UnitarianUniversalist "church" arrived at its endorsement of #pedophiles in June 2012, when the @UUA threatened me with prosecution for #BlasphemousLibel for blogging about pedophile*rapist #UUAclergy. 😇 emersonavenger.blogspot.com/… & emersonavenger.blogspot.com/… #UUism #UUA

A 25-year-old woman reported that a male passenger seated next to her was masturbating during a United Airlines flight. Yet, according to reports, she was required to remain seated beside him. This is sexual victimization. The response should have been immediate: stop the conduct, report it, and protect the victim by moving her away from the offender. What makes this even more troubling is how rarely sexual abuse and/or misconduct aboard commercial flights results in federal prosecution. According to reported FBI data, only 38% of alleged in-flight sexual offenders are ultimately federally charged or convicted. Airlines have a responsibility to take reports of sexual misconduct seriously and respond in ways that prioritize the safety and dignity of victims. people.com/united-investigat…

I spent years investigating and prosecuting sexual assault cases. That experience makes this decision almost unfathomable to me. According to the transcript, this young woman swatted away one man’s hand because she was uncomfortable. She told another “no” multiple times or that she was too tired. She described what happened as coercion and said she was “completely and totally incapacitated.” Then there are the group-chat messages. At 1:42 a.m., a message suggested a woman was available for sex. Later, someone asked: “Shop still open?” The response: “Yea.” And yet the District Attorney concluded there wasn’t enough evidence to even seek an indictment, let alone attempt to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt. That is simply staggering. I understand the evidentiary challenges of prosecuting sexual assault. I lived them. But if these facts aren’t even enough to put the case before a grand jury, we have to ask survivors what exactly we expect them to do to be believed and protected by our criminal justice system. This is also why civil sexual assault cases matter so deeply. When the criminal system fails to provide accountability, the civil justice system can give survivors another path to seek it, not only from those who harmed them, but from the institutions whose actions or failures may have enabled that harm. cbsnews.com/newyork/news/cor…

Guardian of Nefertari’s Eternal Name: Goddess Ma'at envelopes the cartouche of Nefertari (Great Royal Wife of Ramesses II) within her wings, c. 1255 B.C. ▫ Ma’at, the divine embodiment of truth, justice, harmony and cosmic order, was more than a goddess; she represented the very principles upon which Egyptian civilisation rested. Crowned with her distinctive ostrich feather, she upheld the delicate balance of the universe, while her feather served as the measure against which the hearts of the deceased were weighed in the judgement of the afterlife. Here, the cartouche of Nefertari rests between Ma’at’s protective, outstretched wings. The cartouche, an oval enclosure bearing a royal name, symbolised both kingship and the enduring preservation of identity. Beside it appears the shen-ring, an ancient emblem of eternity and everlasting protection. Together, these sacred symbols express a beautiful wish; that Nefertari’s name might endure for all time, sheltered beneath the wings of truth and divine order. WOW! This small woven basket is about 9,500 years old! 🤯 Looks like it was made yesterday rather than by hunter gatherers during the Mesolithic! From the Cueva de los Murciélagos (Cave of bats) near Granada, southern Spain. 📷 by me #Archaeology

Near Paris, 6,500 years ago, Neolithic people buried their dead. Archaeologists have just discovered the cemetery, which consists of 11 graves, 30 megaliths, and a human-shaped monolith called a menhir—that weighs more than 20,000 pounds. archaeology.org/news/2026/11…

Breaking News! Code UFB!!! The preliminary global sea-surface temperature for November 4th was more than 7.5 standard deviations above the 1982-2011 mean. In "normal times" the odds of this would be about 33,000,000,000,000-to-1 against. Next up, 8σ?

Anyone arrested for no reason—left in jail all weekend—then released without charges—knows this is 🐂💩 coming from the Toronto Police Gang. Anyone assaulted by police— then charged with resisting arrest—when they were not under arrest—knows this is 🐂💩. Make 👮🏻‍♂️🐂💩 illegal.
We want to address some confusion surrounding the investigation into the home invasion in the Bridle Path neighbourhood. Investigators immediately recognized the potential connection between the home invasion and the individual who showed up at hospital with a gunshot wound. But recognizing a potential suspect and having enough evidence to arrest them are two different things. Suspicion alone isn’t enough. Police need reasonable grounds, supported by evidence, to make an arrest. We will continue to gather evidence and will go where the evidence takes us. We are grateful for the professionalism, tenacity and commitment of our investigators who continue this work. Let’s keep the focus where it belongs: finding the outstanding suspects and holding those responsible for this violent home invasion accountable.

It's pretty shocking to learn today that the Toronto Police Hate Crimes Unit is investigating bike lane protesters. And that those protesters have been hit with restrictive release conditions banning them from virtually all protest. I am glad the @cjc_TO is on the case!
