Treat assumptions as hypotheses, not facts. That means: Identify the assumption behind an argument. Separate facts from interpretations. Test the assumption against evidence, including inconvenient or contradictory evidence. Update the conclusion when new information warrants it. Distinguish confidence from certaintybeing plausible doesn't make something true. Check chronology and context, especially when analysing history, politics, economics, or policy. Avoid forcing new evidence into an old framework simply because the framework was previously convincing. In other words, the goal isn't to defend a conclusion; it's to find out whether the conclusion survives scrutiny.

Was it not a paid crowd that went to Adokiyie Amesimaka stadium?
Wiki downgraded and humiliated the APC governors in Rivers State yesterday in front of Tinubu. Wike and his rainbow coalition exposed to Tinubu that APC governors have been literally paying crowds to show up for his campaign rallies.. 🤣 No wonder Shettima and Uzodinma are against him and the rainbow coalition!

GOOD DAY, MR PRESIDENT: NIGERIANS DESERVE ACCOUNTABILITY Good day, Mr President. I congratulate you on spending a night in one of Nigeria’s states outside Lagos and Abuja. I hope you enjoyed the warmth, hospitality, and delicious cuisine of Akwa Ibom, which I am sure is even better than those of the destinations where you have spent over 260 days outside Nigeria since coming into office. I sincerely hope this visit will inspire you to travel to the remaining 33 states of the federation, spend time with the people and, more importantly, explain what your administration has done with the ₦15.8 trillion saved from the removal of fuel subsidy, the over $100 billion you have borrowed, the increased revenues accruing to the government from taxing Nigerians, and the additional government revenues which your administration celebrated last year as having surpassed its target. Nigerians deserve to know how many that were pulled out of poverty within this period, how many out-of-school children were returned to school, and how many functional primary healthcare centres you have built. They also deserve to know how much electricity supply has improved, especially given your promise that if you do not fix power, Nigerians should not vote for you. They deserve an explanation of how you have secured the country, which still ranks among the most terrorised countries in the world. Mr President, Nigerians deserve answers. They deserve to know what has been done with the resources entrusted to your government. The New Nigeria we want to build will be based on accountability, transparency, and the physical, measurable impact of our public resources on the lives of citizens. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

A hostile takeover can not happen on the NGX, except in banks. On average, the free float of the NGX is 30%. So nearly all shares are held by insiders. For banks, the average free float is 70%.
Funny how myself and @anjola_ja have had a convo about this on our space, what Destiny is saying is spot on, there’s something called a free float, which summed up means the total number of shares a publicly traded company has available to members of the public.

Mr Peter Obi has been in 12 states for campaign activities, 8 states more than the other two candidates put together. The job of being president requires energy, vitality, zest and vigor. Can we call this contest over already.

This is a mysterious cases. Jonathan recovered about 300-500 containers. Buhari through Fashola recovered about 700. Now Tinubu is recovering about 300 more. Is there no definite number of these containers? I hope another government does not come and recover another hundreds of containers. We need a complete story about these containers. I remember when we saw the same pictures of the recovery of these containers under Jonathan and Buhari.
Copy of Grok’s response to my query on these containers: The Buhari administration recovered 690 out of roughly 800 containers of electricity equipment that it inherited (stranded for about 10 years by prior governments). These containers hold critical transmission gear—high-capacity transformers, cables, switchgear, and related items—imported for Federal Ministry of Power, Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC), National Integrated Power Project (NIPP), and other government or donor-backed power projects. Some have sat uncleared at Lagos ports (mainly Apapa and Tin Can) for 14–20 years. History of the Stranded Containers: The problem is longstanding and stems from unpaid port charges and demurrage, incomplete customs procedures, duty-exemption issues, contractor abandonment or non-performance, and bureaucratic delays across agencies. Equipment was often procured under projects meant to expand the transmission network, relieve overloaded substations, and improve grid capacity, but it never reached project sites. Sources note consignments dating back to the mid-2000s (spanning the Obasanjo, Yar’Adua, Jonathan, and into the Buhari periods), including items for NIPP, TCN donor-funded work, and later initiatives. This has left public investments idle, allowed assets to deteriorate, stalled projects, and contributed to Nigeria’s chronic power shortfalls while demurrage costs mounted. Recovery efforts have occurred intermittently. Under Buhari (with Babatunde Fashola as Minister of Power, Works and Housing): •By early 2018, the government reported recovering about 500–502 TCN containers left at ports before Buhari took office; these were moved to substations and construction sites as part of grid-expansion work. •In October 2018, Fashola stated that the administration inherited around 800 such containers and had recovered 690 of them (with presidential approval to deploy the equipment). These supported capacity upgrades at substations (e.g., Ejigbo in Lagos) and broader transmission expansion. Earlier 2017 TCN reports also noted clearing hundreds of contractor-abandoned containers. Despite these steps, hundreds of containers remained trapped due to ongoing charges, documentation problems, and lack of sustained coordination—some for nearly two decades. Experts have described repeated presidential clearances followed by new pile-ups, pointing to systemic issues rather than one-off fixes. Recent Developments (Tinubu Administration): In late October 2026, after a presentation by Power Minister Joseph Tegbe at the Federal Executive Council, President Bola Tinubu directed the immediate clearance of more than 300 remaining containers of similar equipment. The Ministry of Finance approved waivers on accumulated charges. On November 6, 2026, the Nigeria Customs Service (under Comptroller-General Adewale Adeniyi) began releasing the first 98 (reports vary slightly on the exact split, e.g., ~44–48 from ENL Terminal and ~50–54 from other terminals including APMT/Sun & Moon at Tin Can). The rest of the ~200+ are to follow. The items will be inspected for serviceability and deployed to stalled projects. In short, the containers are long-idle government power-sector imports trapped by administrative and financial bottlenecks. The Buhari administration’s documented recovery figure for the batch it inherited is 690.

The big problem in American politics is that voters expect the government to solve their problems. Our country was founded on the principle that the people should be left alone to solve their own problems. When government is empowered to solve problems, it creates them instead.

I am profoundly saddened and deeply disturbed by reports of violence directed at members and coordinators of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) and the Obidient Movement in Delta State. I unequivocally condemn the attacks against our coordinators, supporters, and fellow citizens who were merely exercising their democratic rights. Political violence has no place in a democracy and can never be justified. No political aspiration is worth the life of a Nigerian, and no dispute should be resolved through intimidation, physical attacks, or the destruction of property. It is particularly troubling that, at a time when Nigeria urgently needs responsible leadership, some individuals continue to believe that political influence can be secured through thuggery, fear, and violence. Political authority should be attained through persuasion and the trust of the people, not by intimidating opponents. I urge the Government and the security agencies to conduct an immediate and thorough investigation into these attacks, identify those responsible, and ensure that they face justice, irrespective of their political affiliations. The safety and security of our members must be assured. We will not be intimidated or silenced, nor will we relinquish our democratic space to violence. Our response will remain peaceful, lawful, and determined. Nigeria belongs to every one of us. No political party or individual has exclusive ownership of the democratic space. Every Nigerian is entitled to organise, gather, express their views, and freely elect their leaders. Our nation needs constructive ideas rather than intimidation, responsible leadership rather than thuggery, and democratic contest rather than political violence. I stand in solidarity with everyone affected in Delta State. A New Nigeria must be founded on justice, liberty, peace, and respect for the dignity of every citizen. May God bless Delta State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria. -PO

You should have supported the APC in 2015, 2019 & 2023......seeing as your concern is to be on the "winning side".
2015 election - Losing side 2019- Losing side 2023- Losing side 2027- Losing side 2031- Losing side 2035- Losing side A region being on the losing side in 7 consecutive election cycles is a perfect description of political irrelevance Oh chim

Let me be blunt. Those who are afraid of AI feel deep down that they are impostors & have no edge. If you have a 1) clear mind, 2) a deep, not just cosmetic, undertanding of your specialty, 3) and/or are original enough to reinvent yourself when needed, AI will be your friend.

lol. This tactic is debilitating and redundant in 2026. The internet/ X is full of all sorts of characters with different agendas and purpose. @Cicerorian_ have been on Twitter now X since 2015 ...because "an old woman does not forget the dance she knew", you are in character ascribing the opinion of a random handle whose identity no one can vouch for first to me and second to Peter Obi support. Its even possible the post was made to bait and rile up opprobrium on Peter Obi. Es PDP and currently ADC never fail.
This is the kind of thinking @Rothamhouse encourages. Then tomorrow, he’ll come and tell Me about dog whistles and what not. I mean genuinely peep this thinking. Like so now, Makinde is …… but in 2023?!? Like? Make this thing make sense

Peter Obi is a national candidate with a national appeal. Peter Obi has made and is making inroads into traditional Northern base. Peter Obi's candidacy has shutdown many historical prejudices and exposed many historical lies for what they are. It is now an accepted that an Igbo candidate can win the presidency on his own merit. All thanks to Peter Obi. My foresight sees beyond 2038. This divisive transactional politics you see today will die with APC after 2027. After 2027, there will be another political regrouping and realignment.
You that has foresight, what has your foresight gained you? Onye akachamalu. How has your oversabi helped push ndi igbo forward. Since you’re not ex-PDP turned ADC. Now you’re leading us into political oblivion with your long sighted foresight, how are you people going to ensure Obi and ndi igbo are not ridiculed by your foresight

Again, stay on topic. Stop the dog whistles. Stop cultivating non existent fanbase Like I said earlier, typical ex PDP and current ADC, short sighted and daft with narrative...you are now seeking for support where none is available to pile on The individuals you mentioned insults and call people names. ....if the people they insult and call names return the energy thats their business. Some people from the groups you mentioned insult Ndigbo. If same energy is returned by some Ndigbo, thats their business. We are getting there.... you will soon look for a tag for me. For now we are still within the periphery of "your ilk" Typical short sighted narrative play book
But it's your ilk that spent time insulting Ndi kato, Patrick, and every other person who supported Obi and then stopped. It is your ilk that pushed bigotry agenda with yoruba's. Is it not your ilk that began attacking Ijaw people and edo people? Is it not your ilk that began the nonsense Attack on fulani people? Please, everyone knows that it is people like you hiding behind unknown handles to insult other tribes who fall our with your lord and personal Savior.

The usual Nigerian dog whistle. Ones you are held to account you start seeking for support where none is required. Like I said earlier, stay on topic and stop conflating issues to win an argument. The support for Peter Obi is in no way related to the bigotry one encounters on Nigerian social media. But hey, its a short sighted Ex PDP and currently ADC, they must conflate any and everything. You are clearly being guilty of what you were lamenting on earlier. To claim a moral high ground with a person that support Peter Obi, you must attempt to conflate and muddle that support with something vile
You people are hiding under the guise of "new Nigeria" to insult other minority groups. Why won't they attack you people? Stay accountable or stay out of the kitchen. Una no dey ever self assess yourselves
