GOING LIVE NAO!

Well akshually it is because of the fact that it is determined by the sun that we eventually discovered we needed time zones. Trains were piling up, and there were even a few crashes until someone discovered that high noon (called such BECAUSE of the position OF THE SUN) was happening at different times the further west one went.

If it was determined by the Sun, then “time zones” wouldn’t even be a thing.
Come say hi, kids!

Just a reminder that when someone says that you are voting against your own interests, what they mean is that you are voting against THEIRS.

After forty years in front of the camera, I’ll be directing my first feature film, SO HELP ME GOD: a Civil War epic about a Union soldier named Albert Townsend, who should have received the Medal of Honor but didn’t.
Clerical error.
I learned of Albert through his descendants’ archival research. What I found was more than an injustice waiting to be corrected. It was a story of friendship and extraordinary courage: an unassuming young man becoming a soldier who held his ground, and his principles, under fire.
That’s a story worth telling on the largest possible scale. And we’re inviting the people who want to see it told to help bring it to the screen, as investors in the film through Republic.
We intend to do it justice: real cannons, one hundred horses, and the cast in period-accurate uniforms. We’ve brought on Mark Huffam, whose work includes Saving Private Ryan, Game of Thrones, and The Martian, to produce it. He knows what it takes to make an epic, and how much depends on the human story at its heart.
At the Medal of Honor Heritage Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee, I introduced the project alongside Civil War historian Brad Quinlin, members of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, and representatives of Civil War Roundtables. We’re also supporting the campaign for Albert’s posthumous Medal of Honor. His descendants are still fighting to see his courage properly recognized.
This picture is about friendship, love, and honor — and common people rising to accomplish extraordinary things. I want to give that story everything it deserves.
I hope you will lift the banner with us.

Anybody wanna help me crowd fund a similar business model here?
The biggest mistake tourists make in Japan is dragging a fifty-pound suitcase up and down subway stairs.
Watch how Japanese travelers board the bullet train. They walk on with a cup of green tea, a small shoulder bag, and both hands free.
Where is their luggage? It is already in the next city, waiting for them.
In Japan, the system is called Takkyubin, recognizable everywhere by a logo of a mother black cat carrying her kitten gently in her mouth.
When you check out of your hotel in Tokyo at eight in the morning, you hand your heavy suitcase to the front desk, fill out a tiny slip, and pay about twenty dollars. You can even send it straight from the corner convenience store.
Then you spend the entire day wandering through mountain temples or eating street food with nothing on your back.
When you walk into your traditional inn in Kyoto that evening, your suitcase is already standing neatly in your room, wiped clean, with the handle turned toward you.
In fifty years of handling millions of bags a year, lost luggage is virtually unheard of.
A society runs smoothly when you can hand your belongings to a stranger at a convenience store and know they will beat you to your hotel.

And I don't know what CERN bullshit is happening right now but I do not remember a star on the Soviet flag. I lived through nuclear war drills at school under our desk. AYFKM A STAR?!
So what in the Mandela Effect is going on here?
I woke up to find that, in this timeline, the Soviet flag has a star… why does it feel like every time I sleep more than a few hours, I wake up somewhere new?
CEEEEEERRRRRRNNNNN!!
I've never believed in horoscopes. I read something today about an alignment shift for Gemini, though. Supposedly, an alignment kept us in turmoil for 16 years, and that's changing.
Still not a believer but that last part sure hit home 😂😂😂😂
