We all know about how spoiled LSU gets with night games, but I think the most surprising part of this to me was the Georgia number.
How is the best team in the SEC getting 22% night games.. Georgia is on the same level as Arkansas and Mississippi State in this stat. Thatās a problem.
Since the SECās new TV deal began in 2024, LSU has played 16 of its 19 home games at night (84%).
Georgia and Mississippi State? Just 4 of 18 (22%).
It gets even worse when you look strictly at SEC conference games.
LSU has hosted EIGHT at night. More than Ole Miss and Georgia COMBINED.
Mississippi State has hosted ONE.
Night games matter for recruiting, atmosphere, attendance and home-field advantage.
How does the SEC justify this kind of disparity? And how is it fair to the fans spending thousands on season tickets?

I wanted nothing more than for Auburn to come out today & show that last week wasn't a fluke.
But man, the Dawgs really beat the Dawgs.
Oof...

I keep hearing "Georgia beat Georgia."
No.
Auburn ran the ball. Auburn stopped the run. Auburn won the battle in the trenches.
Yes, Georgia had costly turnovers. But Auburn dropped a sure-fire TD in the first quarter and lost the penalty battle 11-4.

Since the start of CFP expansion talks there has been a significant sized group of coaches who openly lobbied for CFP expansion as a way to create a looser definition of success.
I watched Mark Richt get fired after a 9-3 season. I bet wee see an interim coach a CFP game soon.

One thing folks arenāt talking about enough with the 24-team playoff is the amount of rematch opportunities.
We are already seeing this in the 12-team & 24-team makes it worse.
In the hypothetical field below, Alabama could end up with 4 CFP games vs teams theyāve already played in 2026.
Georgia & Ohio State could have 3 CFP games that are regular season rematches.
An occasional postseason rematch can be iconic⦠but having the potential for 8-10 of the 23 CFP games be regular season rematches seems very short-sighted.

This will be Kirby Smart's 36th game coaching at UGA as the AP #1 team.. That puts him 4th behind Nick Saban, Bobby Bowden and Woody Hayes all time.. Not bad company to be in @ugasportscom

5 things Georgia and Bama fans can agree on:
1. Those refs sucked š¤
2. Keelon Russell rocks š¤
3. Chris Cole is a matchup nightmare š¤
4. Ryan Grubb abandons the run game too often š¤
5. Kirby Smart has cloned Sabanās consistency better than any other former assistant š¤

What an incredible day. Loving that some want to make the narrative after #UGA beat #Alabama in Tuscaloosa is because of the refsā¦
#Dawgs fans feel yourā¦pain? š

Iām not an archaeologist, but maybe Stockton going 18/22 for 249 without his top two X-WRās while UGA held Keelon to 16/30 for 185 won it?
Maybe UGAās #3 and #4 RBās going for 7 YPC won it? Perhaps UGA won because they had 7.5 yards a play and held Alabama to 5.8?
Just a guess

Letās be clear. Georgia dominated Alabama in each statistical category. They made more plays.
If the refs missed one call then how about Alabama doesnāt get sacked on the next play and they wouldāve been fine. Georgia did not get Lucky. Georgia was Georgia.

Yup⦠Georgia wanted Arch Manning so much it didnāt recruit any other QBās in the 2023 class
Presumably, the Manningās trusted Sarkās ability to develop Arch and put him in position to succeed
UGA is getting way more out of Gunnerās talent than Texas is getting out of Archās

There are four teams in the SEC that are commonly believed to have spent more on NIL than Georgia this year. Those teams have already combined for seven losses.
