I asked Day'Ron Sharpe about how the Nets can stop falling behind by double-digits:
"It's just mental lapses. It's really defense winning games. No matter how many buckets we score, how good we shooting the ball, if we're not getting stops, it's hard for us to win."

Last night game reminded us... 😆
But he's a baller. I love that he came out asap and put that loss on him as a rook. Ceiling is high 📈 for him.. Hope he and Egor can develop something.

This the accountability I want to see. Take it on the chin, head high, shoulders back & LEARN from these moments. I fucking love it, we needed this. 🤫
Mikel Brown Jr. on attempting the layup in the final seconds up one rather than pulling the ball out:
“I did see the open lane, and I thought I had a layup, but the ball was kind of already slipping out of my hands, and PG was already coming towards my right side. So I felt like if I didn't go up with it, I kind of was gonna fall out of bounds. So that was my last resort, in all honesty, but I can't make an excuse. There's a lot of plays down the stretch that I messed up on, that I take full accountability for, and I'm gonna be better.
Was it discussed before the play to dribble the ball out?
“It was discussed to just try to get it in, and try to kill time. That definitely was discussed, but like I said, it's just mistakes down the stretch that I just can't make. I just can't do that."

Landed and went straight to the gym. When you have young players, you need to allow them to play EARLY, OFTEN & thru MISTAKES. Thats where you see the growth. #Growth

The sample size is small, but it’s clear the Nets are a far better team with Mikel Brown Jr. on the floor. Things fall into place when the floor dictator is leading the ship and it’s clear he’s that guy. Easy to forget he’s a rookie.
