HOLY CR*P ๐Ÿšจ 3 mosques in Texas are funded, staffed and controlled directly by the government of Turkey โ€œThe imams inside them are Turkish government employees. Their sermons are state-approved. Western intelligence services have documented Turkey using identical institutions in other countries to surveil and intimidate political dissidents. That operation is running in Dallas, Houston, and Austin right nowโ€ โ€œTurkey's President ErdoฤŸa once described democracy as a train you ride until you reach your destination, and he has made clear that destination nation is an Islamist state. He has jailed journalists, purged judges, and directed his government's religious apparatus, the Diyanet, to operate globally. Now, 3 of those Diyanet mosques are in Texas. These aren't imams. They are foreign government operatives with a pulpitโ€ โ€œAdditionally, the Turkish Islamist network in Texas includes private schools and a functioning Sharia court in Dallas. Its founding figure has publicly called for the Islamization of America, declaring, there's only one thing America needs, and that's Islam. This network has operated in close coordination with Muslim Brotherhood organizations in Dallas for yearsโ€ I canโ€™t believe it but I looked it up and this is all 100% true The 3 mosques are: - Dallas Diyanet Mosque in Richardson / DFW area), operated by the Turkish American Religious Foundation Dallas. Its website states it is โ€œproudly affiliated with the Presidency of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Turkey (T.C. Diyanet Isleri Baskanligi) through Diyanet America.โ€ Diyanet Houston Camii in Houston. Opened around late 2022 with Turkish Diyanet officials including a deputy president and consular staff present. It is also linked to TARF Houston - Austin Diyanet Mosque in the Austin area. Listed in the same reports; Turkish consular officials have visited it How is this allowed. How could Texas officials possibly overlook this? We need the government to suit these mosques down and deport everyone involved

Azerbaijan - Schoolgirl cries after being denied entry for wearing hijab. On September 21, Azerbaijan banned clothing that violates secularism in public schools. Girls wearing hijab are being sent home. Good. Keep going. Europe must do the same.

"They seem genuinely convinced they're members of some landed Southern aristocracy because they own a blazer, drink bourbon, and once stood near a chandelier. That's what makes Ole Miss arrogance so spectacular. Texas arrogance is backed by money, academics, and championships. Alabama arrogance is backed by the greatest football dynasty the sport has ever seen. Ole Miss arrogance is backed by a bow tie, a tailgate, and a deeply held conviction that putting on loafers magically transforms a Mississippi redneck into a member of the British peerage. They're not even pretending to be athletic royalty anymore. They've skipped directly to pretending they're actual royalty. The Grove isn't Versailles. Oxford isn't the Hamptons. And wearing pastel pants while getting hammered under a tent doesn't make you high society. It makes you a redneck with a dress code.โ€ โ€“โ€“ Author unknown

This is partially because of the weirdo responses to Kirk Herbstreit's dog popup and partially because some people are just innately miserable. It takes zero effort to just be happy for someone else being happy. Zero. Don't go to the store. Don't watch Pat McAfee. Scroll past a tweet. But, also maybe go touch grass or ask yourself why seeing someone else be happy and thrive weirdly makes you so upset. It's the smallest dick energy imaginable.

At the heart of the SEC v LSU situation is this existential question for college athletics: who is a pro athlete? Because if the answer is itโ€™s someone โ€œwho competes in sports for compensationโ€ then college athletics is already populated with thousands of pro athletes.
