I completely agree with this.
For far too long, the Speaker has tolerated poor behaviour from both sides of the House.
The result? An erosion of respect for Parliament, and the British public can see it happening in real time.
I would also like to see a ban on mobile phones in the chamber.
Too many MPs sit glued to their screens, looking bored, distracted and completely disengaged.
You're elected to represent the British public, not sit scrolling through your phone.
Parliament deserves better standards. So do the people paying their salaries.
Replying to @BenGrahamUK
The Speaker is blatantly ignoring his duty time and again. He has overseen and overlooked the erosion of respect for Parliamentary integrity and of the public’s belief in our democracy. We all see it - apart from him, it appears…..
Remember how Ed Miliband cosied up to Russell Brand in his home in the run-up to the 2015 election.
Even at the time, Brand had a terrible reputation. But Ed thought it was the best way to reach the youth vote.
He is now Andy Burnham's choice of Foreign Secretary.

Thanks to @GuidoFawkes here is a list of all the products that will be (or in the near future) banned from the UK under Burnham’s bone headed EU Reset Deal
As you can see it’s a testament to Brussels micromanagement of the lives of voters who cannot via the ballot box, be that inside or outside of the EU, change any of this
Labour seem think that British civilisation is so fundamentally backwords that we as a people can’t be allowed to decide these things for ourselves with our vote

EXCLUSIVE: Approved EU migrants represent ⅔rds of all net UK immigration this century.
Yet Andy Burnham says he wants "an evidence-based debate" about restoring EU Free Movement?
Are you sure PM? Okay, here it is...

Leave means leave, he can't get away with this. I hope the people of Makerfield are proud!
So now British taxpayers are expected to fund roads, airports and green energy projects in poorer EU countries, while Burnham signs us up to Brussels regulations. We voted to leave the EU, not to become its cash machine without a vote or a say.

@Nigel_Farage doesn't have to explain anything its a police matter. You're taking the piss when @UKLabour is full of Sleaze, Corruption, Scandals & refuses to explain any misconduct ( all hidden behind closed doors) as for Labour;
Read this you sniveling moron:
Since the July 2024 (when Labour entered govt), major news outlets have reported multiple Labour (or recently Labour) councillors charged with, convicted of, or resigning over criminal matters. These are distinct from the larger number of purely political resignations/defections over policy.
Reported crime-related cases (examples from news reporting)
These include charges, convictions, or resignations linked to offences (sexual offences feature prominently):
Lee Laudat-Scott (Hackney): Resigned July 2024; charged with sexual assault of a boy under 13 and another sexual assault. Suspended from Labour.Standard
Sam Gould (Redbridge, former Wes Streeting aide): Resigned March 2025 after pleading guilty to indecent exposure (including involving a minor).BBC
Irfan Mohammed (Lambeth): Charged in 2025 with sexual assault, exposure, and coercive/controlling behaviour; suspended from Labour (later sat as independent).Thetimes
Paul Tweed (Sefton, former Lord Mayor): Pleaded guilty to making/possessing indecent images of children (and extreme pornography); expelled from Labour; received a suspended sentence.Manchestereveningnews
Oliver Steadman (former Islington councillor): Charged with blackmail and communications offences linked to the Westminster “honeytrap” scandal; resigned after arrest/suspension.The national
Liron Velleman (Barnet): Resigned 2025; pleaded guilty to child sex offences (attempting sexual communication with a person he believed was a 13-year-old via a police decoy).BBC
Gurbachan Singh Athwal (Hounslow): Charged with fraud by abuse of position; suspended from the Labour group (contributing to loss of council control).Standard
Claire Mayo and Daniel Millard (Sandwell): Charged with assault and affray; suspended from Labour.Expressandstar
Syed Hussain Ahmed (Newham): Charged with sexual assault; suspended by Labour.Lbc
Ashley Farrall (Cheshire East): Resigned then jailed for attempting to pervert the course of justice.Manchestereveningnews
David Graham (Fife): Convicted of sexual offences involving a 15-year-old; jailed. The Telegraph
Additional cases include former councillors charged in a Labour selection/vote-related computer misuse/conspiracy investigation and other sexual assault convictions involving former councillors.
Ricky Jones (Dartford) was charged with encouraging violent disorder over comments at a rally (“cut their throats”) but was acquitted by a jury; he had been suspended by Labour.
A group of ~11 Manchester councillors (mainly Tameside/Stockport) were suspended over a WhatsApp group containing offensive messages (linked to the Andrew Gwynne/Oliver Ryan scandal); some stepped down from roles. This was party misconduct rather than criminal charges in most reports.BBC
Broader resignations
Dozens of Labour councillors have resigned or defected since July 2024 for political reasons (e.g., ~20 in Broxtowe over government policies, groups in Brent, Birmingham, Cambridge, and elsewhere). These are separate from the crime-related cases above.
In summary: At least around 10–15 distinct individuals who were Labour councillors (or recently so) have been publicly reported as charged with or convicted of criminal offences (or resigned in connection with them) since Labour took power, based on national and local news coverage. The true figure for “accused of any crime” is higher but not centrally collated, and the total including all resignations is substantially larger due to political defections. Data comes from contemporaneous reporting rather than a single official database.
And the aforementioned doesn't include the trash @UKLabour sweep under the carpet.
Now where is Nick Brown ? Surely not still hiding up Starmers Skirt.
You know what to do 👇

Look at Poland. Brussels is weighing in on the escalating dispute over Poland’s Constitutional Tribunal, calling on the authorities to ensure it operates in line with the Polish constitution and EU court rulings.
And now Ukraine. Zelensky's men are kidnapping & torturing young men & holding their families to ransom.
Europe’s nations deserve self-government and a real say over their own future. The EU must fall — peacefully, democratically, and through the ballot box.

This has got to be a joke!
Burnham wants closer ties with the EU and now Brussels is demanding we help fund poorer EU countries like Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary and Poland?!
We’re ALREADY paying around £2.13 BILLION a year into EU programmes and they want MORE?!
We’re over £3 TRILLION in debt, our NHS is on its knees, housing is a mess.. we’re in a cost of living crisis.. people can barely afford to live!
And we’re supposed to believe handing even more money to Brussels will make Britain better off?

This is what a conquered country looks like.
Migrants celebrate Labour relaxing immigration rules. They arrive, take the benefits, housing and services, and leave actual British people behind.
This is policy written by them, for them. The UK is now set up to prioritise non-British people
Absolutely disgusting.
What country asks people who hold visas to shape a consultation on its immigration rules, then expects the British public to accept the result as representative?
The figures speak for themselves: 73% of responses came from current visa holders. Just 18% came from British citizens.
That raises a serious question about whose voices @ShabanaMahmood & @UKLabour chose to put at the centre of this process.
This is a complete betrayal of the British people.
Time and again, voters have demanded lower immigration and proper control of our borders.
Time and again, Westminster’s political elite have ignored them, convinced they know better.
Labour’s contempt for the public is there for all to see.
We will not be ignored, brushed aside or treated as though our views don’t matter anymore!
We have to make our voices impossible to ignore at the ballot box.
@reformparty_uk is our only hope. Let’s hit them hard when we vote.
And there you have it.
@UKLabour gaslighting us again.
Extraordinary. Just 18 per cent - 36,000 - of the 202,000 people who responded to the consultation on the Home Office's crackdown on indefinite leave to remain were British citizens. Three quarters were "current visa holders". Critics now asking if it is any wonder Shabana Mahmood's immigration reforms were watered down. More now on @GBNEWS.
I gave @ShabanaMahmood the benefit of the doubt when she came into office. I thought perhaps she understood how fed up people are with a system that seems unable to control immigration.
But once again, tough words turn into a retreat.
@UKLabour own consultation raised the possibility of restricting benefits for migrants after settlement. Now that proposal has been dropped. Whatever they call it — a proposal, an option or a consultation question — Labour has chosen not to pursue it.
This is a massive betrayal of the British people who were promised that immigration would be brought under control.
Why are we expected to believe that taking in more and more people from around the world is sustainable when our housing, public services and infrastructure are already under strain?
We are watching our communities change at a pace we have never voted for, while our concerns are just brushed aside by the elite in Westminster
The British public have repeatedly been promised that immigration will be controlled. Then once a government gets into power, the promises melt away, and our views count for nothing.
If @UKLabour will not stand by even the measures it put forward to tighten the system, why should anyone believe it has the will to control net migration or stop illegal migration?
This is the nail in Labour’s coffin. You have ignored the public for far too long.
You should be ashamed — and you will pay for it at the ballot box.

This is a scandal. Shabana Mahmood said handed-out visas in the Boriswave were rife with fraud.
So why is she about to give hundreds of thousands of immigrants, who may have been here on those visas, ILR?
'Is Shabana Mahmood enabling a massive immigrant visa scam?'
@Alexarmstrong SLAMS the Home Secretary who is set to water down immigration reforms, costing the taxpayer almost £10bn.

Tomorrow Labour’s Home Secretary will announce she is conceding defeat to Angela Rayner.
And the mad Labour backbench MPs.
She will U-turn on her promise to stop the Boriswave settling and getting British passports.
Burnham is betraying the people of Makerfield again.
He promised not to water down Mahmood’s settlement reforms.
The cost of this betrayal will be hundreds of billions added to Britain’s debt.
British people again being betrayed in service of foreign nationals.
We cannot go on like this.
Reform will fight this betrayal with everything we have.
