SEVERE WEATHER LIKELY NEXT WEEK November 2-3! The most potent upper-level trough we have seen since spring is forecast to eject across the southern Plains and Dixie Alley on November 2-3. Instability looks a little marginal on the global models so far, but that is par for the course this time of year. We are watching the southeastern Great Plains on November 2 and east across Dixie Alley on November 3 for the possibility of big severe weather and tornadoes. Stay tuned for updates!

Newcomers to New England, you will quickly learn the term Nor'easter. A Nor’easter can strike from the fall-spring, but tend to be strongest during the winter months. Sou’easter is another storm name you might begin to hear! t.ly/5rL7 #mewx #Maine

Much of the region has trended drier than normal over the last 30 days, though repeated coastal storms have resulted in Southern New England being above normal. A weak cold front moving through today brings a chance of sprinkles across northern NY and New England.
