Bobby is right. This is 200% Donald Trump’s fault, and I’m tired of watching people bend over backwards trying to explain it away. When you campaign on a set of promises, get elected because people believe you, and then turn around and reverse course, don’t be surprised when those same people stop showing up for you. Republicans are not Democrats. Democrats tend to show up and vote straight down the ticket regardless of who’s on the ballot. Republican voters are far less willing to blindly follow a party when they feel betrayed by the people running it. And I’m so damn tired of hearing this 5D chess nonsense. Not everything is some elaborate master plan. Sometimes what you’re watching is exactly what it looks like: bad decisions, broken promises, and a complete disregard for the people who put you in office. And let’s talk about this pattern of attacking Republicans who dare to disagree with him. Thomas Massie, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, Mike Pence, Mitt Romney, Nikki Haley, Paul Ryan, Brian Kemp, Brad Raffensperger, Geoff Duncan, Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, Rand Paul, Josh Hawley, Todd Young, Bill Cassidy, and now even Republican state senators Jim Buck and Greg Walker. Some were former allies. Some supported his agenda. Some served alongside him. Some simply refused to do what he wanted. And what did they get? Public humiliation, insulting nicknames, accusations of disloyalty, threats of primary challengers, and endless social media attacks. I hope Congress has the backbone to pursue impeachment. And I want Pete Hegseth held accountable for his actions, including any conduct that may constitute war crimes. Look at how Thomas Massie has been treated. Look at what happened with Marjorie Taylor Greene. You don’t get to spend your time attacking, humiliating, and alienating the very people who helped build your political support and then wonder why your own voters are walking away. This is what happens when loyalty becomes a one-way street. People have their limits, and being Republican doesn’t mean surrendering your brain, your principles, or your ability to hold your own party accountable. We need to restore some integrity and dignity to the highest office in this country. The presidency is not a personal playground, the government is not a loyalty club, and the American people are not an audience Trump gets to insult whenever he feels like it. And perhaps that’s the biggest lesson Republicans need to learn: You cannot build a political party around one man’s ego and expect the rest of the country to keep paying the price. The people who put him there are not his employees, his servants, or his personal cheering section. He works for us. Not the other way around. The Republican Party existed before Donald Trump, and it will exist after him. The presidency is bigger than one man, and America sure as hell shouldn’t have to spend every four years cleaning up after one man’s need to be worshipped. We didn’t elect a king. We elected a president. There’s a difference, and Washington needs a refresher course.
Absolutely the best video on x today. Take a listen👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇 ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY ZERO ZERO ZERO ZERO ZERO all along while saying crimes where committed. Dude is saying and thinking what everyone wanted to happen and we were of course let down

Hakeem Jeffries needs to stop being a pussy. The American people want accountability. We deserve our pound of flesh. You can't trust a guy who takes secret meetings with Jared Kushner.

WE THE PEOPLE made this happen. And WE THE PEOPLE demand accountability. Take your money and take a seat. Give the gavel to Robert Garcia, Jamie Raskin or Ro Khanna.
“🇺🇸 people don't want us to get even, they want us to get things done…” Who’s gonna tell @RepJeffries holding crooks accountable isn’t about “getting even”, it’s about preserving our democracy? Is this what he talked about with Kushner? @TheDemocrats don’t blow this

Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries are the literal poster boys for AIPAC. Is this really the leadership we want running our caucus?

I love you America. You made history all across the country tonight. Except for my beloved homestate of Floriduh. We gave it our all. We got close. But we remain a national embarrassment. Maybe next time 🥲 #Midterms26 #BlueWave2026

People are bitching about subpoena's and Mardi Gras beads. Two things can happen at once. Corruption and high prices can be tackled. Look at Donald. He raised prices, started a war, hid the Epstein files, stole billions, tore down D.C., and ripped families apart all at once.

Basically, in the span of a few hours, both Vance and DeSantis have cut Trump loose.
DeSantis: “This is close to an extinction level event for Republicans…out of the ten largest states in this union, only one state will have Republican control of their state, the state of Florida."

Vance posting as if he’s an online pundit or commentator and not the vice-president in the administration that launched this war and then defended this war.
One of the things the data analysts on our side obsessed over was "composition"—whether the electorate looked close enough to 2024 for Republicans to win. And despite polls that showed a Democrat blowout, the data kept on telling us the same story: in some states turnout was merely OK, in other states it was downright amazing, and in no state was it catastrophic. There was a genuine sense of optimism on our team: our people were showing up. So, I asked the smartest data guy I know, does that mean we're going to shock the world? "No," he told me. "We might do better than the polls suggest. But the data is telling us that a lot of Trump/Vance 2024 voters are pissed and planning to vote for the other guys. Our voters are turning out, but they may not vote for us." Well, that looks prophetic now. Our voters did show up. In Florida, for example, the electorate was 9 points more Republican than Democrat, just a couple points worse than 2024. Undoubtedly there were places we could have done better on turnout. But the main problem is not turnout. The main problem is that many people who voted for Trump/Vance in 2024 voted for Democrats in 2026. There will be a lot of infighting and arguing over what happened and why that is. One of the pollsters I really respect told me that our economic messaging wasn’t sharp enough down the stretch. I’m sure that’s true. But the real reason we lost is obvious to almost everyone. Another pollster—one of the smartest people I know in politics, told me yesterday we’d lose the generic ballot by 13 points. I felt negative going into Tuesday, but even I was shocked by this. In his polling, he saw that a lot of Trump 2024 voters were angry and planning to vote for Democrats. He asked those voters who had abandoned us what would cause them to come back on our team. The top four answers, accounting for nearly all of the responses were: 1) End the war 2) Focus on cost of living/inflation 3) Put America First 4) Change our relationship to Israel Our voters showed up. And the above four reasons are why many of them voted for Democrats. This is according to a pollster who nailed the results. While many spent Monday attacking Rachel Campos Duffy for calling for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict, it turns out her political advice was sound. (She’s also a great person.) In the next few months, there's going to be a lot of gaslighting. Expect to hear any number of establishment politicians say the solution to our woes is amnesty. I'm open to the idea that we should change enforcement—by focusing more on businesses that hire illegal labor, for instance. But anyone pushing amnesty is lying to you. The reason we lost is the war. The president himself said so last night. If you'd like to argue it was worth it, that losing the Senate for the next 6 years was worth it, then do so. Argue it was a worthwhile cost to pay. Agree or disagree, that's at least honest. But everyone knows why we lost. And any honest conversation about where we go from here must start there. I remain hopeful about our country. To the people who are pissed off and want to say, “I told you so”: you’re right, you did tell us so. Take that energy into electing Republicans who share your worldview. To the people who are just pissed at the results, you should be. Let’s take that anger and get back to the work of saving our country.
