This would be a gross betrayal of former miners across Wales and the UK, including those in my own constituency!
These miners worked hard all their lives. Many are now elderly and in poor health. They deserve to receive the pensions they were promised before it is too late.
EXC: Ministers poised to break promise to former miners over £1.2bn pension fund
Labour MPs tell me they are ‘furious’ and ‘very disappointed’ about the last-minute decision
They are now making urgent representations to No 10, Treasury and whips ahead of tomorrow’s Budget

Budget Day is tomorrow.
Here is what some of our Liberal Democrat MPs are calling on the Chancellor to deliver.
What do Jeremy Corbyn, Sir Ed Davey, Robert Jenrick, John McDonnell and Alicia Kearns want to see in the budget?
@AliFortescue speaks to MPs from across the Commons about their hopes for the Chancellor's speech.

.@TheGreenParty is back down to 8%, which is where it was when @ZackPolanski became leader
Partly due to ‘Burnham bounce’ but also because obsessing over Zionism isn’t very popular. Best to focus on practical policies to aid Palestinians, rather than ‘political purity’ votes

When you live in a rural community, there’s this constant back of mind worry about the what-ifs of healthcare access. Aging equipment and systems are becoming more and more expensive to repair or replace, and health cuts–like the ones I voted against–aren’t helping our communities get on their feet.
Last week, I joined staff members at Willapa Harbor Hospital to discuss the challenges they face maintaining and replacing new equipment and to tour the imaging suite upgrades I worked to get community project funding for last year.

A lot of people are protesting this post by saying "Abdul is a real talent, it's just that his own party is fighting him"
Guys, I hate to break the bad news, but if you can't consolidate your own party's support you're not actually a major political talent.

Thank God! I walked round Oxford Street trying to find a present for a colleague the other week & it was hands down the most stressful hour I’d experienced for *quite some time*

People—Democrats, Republicans, Independents—clamoring to support the Peltolas and Coopers is actually a validation of their candidate quality!
It’s good to have candidates people want to associate with and that should be a factor when assessing candidate quality!

I'm so excited to have been re-selected to stand for Parliament representing Harpenden, Berkhamsted, Tring, Redbourn, Wheathampstead, Flamstead, Markyate, Wheathampstead and our wonderful villages and communities. It's been the biggest privilege of my life to be the MP for this new constituency.
Since being elected, we've helped constituents with almost 25,000 personal and political issues, sent over 76,000 emails and letters to and on behalf of constituents, and I've participated in over 1,200 debates, questions, and speeches in the House of Commons. I've been nominated as one of the top 20 most active MPs in Parliament for two years and, most importantly, worked with fantastic people in the community, making a difference every day.
Thank you to all of you and what you do for our area. From national issues to local challenges, I will keep fighting together, and raising your issues week in, week out.
