Tonight, Council passed an ordinance naming October 12th as #SavedTheCrew Day in Columbus, the 1 year anniversary of finding out #Crew96 would be saved.
We’re thankful for the tireless work by @Save_The_Crew and folks across the City who proved the power of grassroots movements.
It’s official! @ColumbusCouncil passes a resolution naming October 12 Saved The Crew Day in Columbus. Together, through tireless work, our entire community did something incredible. Thank you Council President Shannon Hardin (@SG_Hardin) for sponsoring this resolution.

If you don’t already know, Dr. Khan and his family were significant @Save_The_Crew partners and allies, providing us the means to run multiple ads in the Dispatch. Their generosity and support is a main reason our community prevailed. #UnsungHeroes
Two years ago our soccer team was going to get hijacked. We bonded as a community and fought for what’s right. In 2 days, the foundation for a new home stadium for Columbus Crew SC will be laid, ushering in a new future for our team! @DrPeteEdwards1
This is our community, this is our family. #Crew96 🖤💛🖤💛

"A big part is just finding something that is familiar or finding something that just makes you feel like you belong. The Crew has kind of been our biggest beacon for that."

Jeremy was a vital @Save_The_Crew ally from day one. CRIS was and is a key partner with our STC Community Assist ticket program. I can’t think of anyone more deserving of this @MLSWORKS Community MVP honor. And know that the prize would make a world of difference for them.
