Heupel took care of the defense & softness issue.
Lack of discipline, attention to detail, & clock management is still an issue. It will continue to cap the programs ceiling until it gets fixed.
You can bank on at least 1 game a season being given away by Tennessee due to the on going issues.
I think TN has issues outside of “just fix the defense” that will continue to hold the program back from being a bonafide legitimate NC contender.
The lack of discipline, attention to detail, in game offensive adjustments, clock management, & softness will continue to cost this program a game or two each season.

I never realized how many Tennessee fans are genuinely okay with just being solid. The 2010s gave these people PTSD. As long as we're not terrible, they're completely fine with it.

It’s taken me a few days to stew over that absolutely INEXCUSABLE loss to USC.
The lack of discipline is beyond old. It’s the SAME CRAP every single year, and it should’ve been fixed yesterday.
Receivers don’t know where to line up? SIT THEIR REAR ENDS ON THE BENCH. A QB coming out of a timeout not knowing the play? UNACCEPTABLE.
I swear we struggle more than any team in America coming out of timeouts, especially in short-yardage situations. How is this STILL an issue?
I’ve supported Josh Heupel, but until he fixes the discipline, preparation, and situational coaching, he will NEVER win anything of significance at Tennessee.
This isn’t a talent issue. It’s a COACHING issue.
