Don’t build your life around what you might lose. Build it around what you’re willing to stand by, even when it hurts. Fear of loss makes you smaller. It makes you say yes when you want to say no, stay when you want to leave, and keep quiet when you need to speak. Freedom doesn’t begin when there is no risk. It begins when you accept that risk is part of being truly alive.
