Can we all come together as a society and agree that firing someone for mildly offensive tweets when they were FIFTEEN the same day they were hired is objectively ridiculous? Like…stop. This is so stupid.
The same day the Portland Trail Blazers announced the hiring of television broadcaster Braiden Bell, the team has fired him because of past social media posts.

You think you have a clue how much work it takes to be a professional basketball player?

Oh cool, just the Spurs admitting on camera that they tanked to get Wemby. Smart thing to do when your meeting is being filmed for Hard Knocks

This is the position of 70+% of Americans. It’s also common sense.
The fact that so many in the press and associated institutions treat it as something morally abhorrent and feel the need to grill a female athlete for voicing it shows how disconnected they are from reality.
Sophie Cunningham gets grilled by WNBA reporters for saying men shouldn’t be able to play women’s sports. Refuses to back down. “I said what I said.” Eloquently defends women’s sports as woke reporters press her. Love all of this. Well done @sophaller.

Crashing the offensive glass from 40 feet up 7 with 40 seconds left is batshit insane lol. I honestly refuse to believe no one on the Bucks knew what was going on. All of this is completely aberrational. NUTS.

Honestly, seeing it like this completely changes my perspective.

Fox is catching a lot of grief & in hindsight obv he’d pull this back out. But try to put yourself in his shoes. You know ~12 secs left. You *think* you have an easy layup. You make it yes you leave NY time, but worst case scenario is OT being up 3. Dribble around? Ok, you get fouled with 8/9 secs left & have 2 massive pressure FT’s to go up 2 or 3. Genuinely I think most coaches would probably prefer a 100% layup in that situation over running a few more secs before FT’s (also you can always get trapped or backtapped & not even get the FT’s). Of course, he underestimated how close OG was & getting blocked there was catastrophic. Try to have some empathy tho for fact that game isn’t played in slomo. You make a million split second decisions like this in a game. Fox made wrong one here. He’ll bounce back.

This is textbook NBA offense these days. Pretty good defense. But constant ball movement. Downhill paint touches. One more. Beautiful. Hard to guard.

Tobias Harris is a PRO’S PRO and has had a phenomenal season as a player AND leader for a young af Pistons’ team. Shut your condescending snotty ass up and sit down.

Sorry it’s been a few days! Here’s another behind the scenes look. Curious the analytics used by NBA staffs? Here’s an opponent scouting cheat sheet put together by the Analytics Dept for the coaching staff to assist in game prep. Needed info, or data overload? 👀

Basketball has its own language. Each team’s terminology differs slightly, but a lot is universal and your understanding of the game increases when you can speak the game A-to-Z! Here’s the “terminology” section from one of our team playbooks. Foreign language to you, or basic??
