This albatross is yelling at us to pay attention.
These albatrosses are discussing their future.
This albatross is sticking its bill in its wing rather than think about it.
This albatross is looking us in the eye, daring us to look away.

yesss 1 year later, 1st migratory trip ever recorded for Grant's band-rumped #StormPetrel from #CanaryIs just recovered in #MontañaClara by @Begarcia98 & @GIAranega 🏆😍💪 This is just a raw trip with large errors but enough to confirm they "winter" in summer off Eastern USA!
One main objective of our visit to #MontañaClara is to study the migration of this poorly known cool population of band-ramped #StormPetrel in #CanaryIs. We found 19 nests and deployed 7 #geolocators. Now we have to wait for 1y to get them back!! 🤞🤞@begarcia89 #Hydrobates

Here in Bermuda for the annual Cahow Experience! Tonight we had our fourth trip of the set and we were not disappointed!!
More to come about this week soon (when I can post images from the computer). In the meantime, a back of camera shot to tide you over 💙

The Cahow Experience is happening now in Bermuda! While the weather has been a challenge so far (no offshore trips yet), some of us did take a taxi out to Coopers Island Nature Reserve to sea watch last evening. We saw at most a dozen at one time - spectacular! 3 Nov 2023

Seabirds will respond dramatically following the rodent eradication on Lord Howe Island but if you want insight into how the terrestrial birds were steered through this, see our latest work. Wrapped up by 10 years of monitoring and survey. link.springer.com/content/pd…
