The left have fully divorced from reality
Victoria has the lowest wholesale power prices in the world according to this @FinancialReview report 😀

Offtt, missed it by that much. How does Labor avoid blame for this?
Seems a tad higher that the $2/week increase the government promised.

The clever thing about socialism is that when it fails, you have a readymade list of excuses for every stage. At the start of failure: “We just need to do it harder.” At the middle: “Reactionary forces are opposing our struggle!” At the end: “It wasn’t ‘real’ socialism anyway.”

This is a US Medicaid story with “Australia” pasted on top. Australia has Medicare (not Medicaid), and aged care is means-tested with an asset-free threshold and fee caps—not a $2,000 liquid-asset cutoff. The spend-down-to-$2k rule is US Medicaid long-term care.
Thank fuck we live in Australia with a Labor government and MEDICARE! “My uncle spent 40 years as a high school teacher. Saved $250k in a modest nest egg. At 78, he developed dementia and needed memory care. The facility cost $8,500 a month. When his savings ran out after two and a half years, the social worker handed my cousin a stack of paperwork. She explained the rule: "Medicaid won't cover a single day until he has less than $2,000 in total liquid assets." He had to sell his car, cash out his remaining life insurance, and empty his checking account just to qualify for basic care. Forty years of discipline, erased down to two thousand dollars so he could die in a shared room. They don't let working class families leave a legacy. They make sure you die with zero before they hand you a safety net.” @jeremyct

These paid influencer campaigns are great. There's no relationship between reality and what they say, it immediately ruins their credibility.
Australia and Victoria has the cheapest energy in the world #auspol #politics #energy

The greens 😅 You will have the treaty you voted against
One year ago today, Victoria made history by enshrining Australia's first Treaty into law - a historic step towards truth, justice and First Nations led self-determination. It's time for the rest of Australia to catch up.

Ouch. Labor is for the people 😅
No prizes for being able to guess, just by looking at this graph, when Labor came to power.

These groups aren’t demanding freedom from religion. They are demanding the authority to impose their own religious convictions upon institutions, organisations, and individuals who disagree with them. Their “secular” morality is no less a system of belief simply because they refuse to call it a religion. What they cannot tolerate is the existence of an institution that recognises a moral authority higher than their own. It’s like demanding membership in a political party whose principles you reject, then insisting the entire party abandon its founding convictions to accommodate your membership. At that point, you’re not asking for inclusion. You are demanding the institution’s surrender. And that is precisely what these organisations seek from Christian schools: not the freedom to live according to their own convictions, but the power to prevent Christians from living according to theirs. caldronpool.com/p/feminist-g…

You absolute midwit. Congrats on repeating the Wikipedia "Nazis were far-right, end of story" summary you absorbed between TikToks. Yes, the Nazis crushed independent unions, jailed and murdered communists and social democrats, and Hitler liquidated the Strasserite "left" wing of his own party in the Night of the Long Knives. That part is not in dispute. They were not Marxist class-struggle socialists. They hated Bolshevism as a Jewish plot and treated international socialism as the main enemy. Fine. What your middle-school history class skipped is that they still ran a National *Socialist* state: private property existed only as long as it served the Führer’s racial and war goals, wages and prices were controlled, industry was cartelized under state direction, profit was subordinated to the party, and the economy was planned for autarky and rearmament. That is not free-market capitalism, liberal conservatism, or classical right-wing economics. It is the same family of state-directed, anti-liberal, collectivist economics practiced by every other fascist and "national socialist" regime. The name was not a prank; the 25-point program and the early rhetoric were full of anti-capitalist planks precisely because they were competing with the actual socialists for working-class support. Your North Korea comparison is the usual gotcha and it is only half-clever. Yes, names can lie. But the NSDAP did not merely call itself socialist while secretly running a Rothschild hedge fund. They nationalized, directed, rationed, and regimented. The difference from Soviet socialism was mainly that the Nazis kept the owners as managers under party orders instead of shooting them all and installing commissars. Both systems produced shortages, secret police, and mass graves; one just had better uniforms and Wagner. Elon pointing out the obvious—that "National Socialist" is not an ironic branding exercise and that the regime was economically left of any classical liberal or conservative—does not make him a moron. It makes him less obedient to the post-1945 academic consensus that insists every totalitarian who isn’t a full Marxist must be filed under "far-right" so the left never has to share the body count. Money didn’t buy him a brain; it just bought him a platform where he doesn’t have to pretend your selective reading of 1930s Germany is the complete picture. Keep yelling "far-right fascists" while ignoring the actual economic policies and the party’s own name. It is the historical equivalent of covering your ears and shouting.

When I was an aspiring adult, being a doctor was admirable. But loik ar the state of doctors nowadays 🤷‍♂️
Whatever we might decide about the politics of Brendan Nugent, the examples of hateful even violent rhetoric in this article are mostly from the right. eg Ditch the Witch in 2011 & other attacks on Julia Gillard & the attacks against Dan Andrews in 2021 with protesters changing "Hang Can Andrews" crikey.com.au/2026/10/21/hel…

Amazing video - the Queensland Hotel Association believes Australians are pompous, entitled, precious children that cannot do anything for themselves. Immigration is the only thing holding back annihilation of our wellbeing and economic prosperity. qha.org.au/members/hotel-mem…
