A day late to the party here, but good lord… Simo really gave it the beans on his line. Magnificent.
The Managers of the Scottish Premiership let us know it’s Christmas time 🎅

No question whatsoever about the spirit in this St Johnstone squad. They simply do not know when they’re beaten. It’s a priceless characteristic. A bit of aggression in the middle of the park - and a proper replacement for Zach Mitchell - should be the priorities for January.

Lovely to have 'Guilt', 'The Gold' and 'Legends' screenwriter - and Dundee United fan - @mrneilforsyth in the 'Twa Teams' studio today. Homemade flags, wooden bow ties, steaming Scottish Cup trips to Huntly and Alan Partridge driving to Dundee in his bare feet. Get stuck in.

That first Motherwell goal... dearie me... where on earth are the challenges?
🟠 Motherwell remain winless in seven after they drew 2-2 with St Johnstone, who scored a dramatic late equaliser ⤵️

Fotheringham was sent off for less at Ibrox.
Just a yellow. It all balances out in the end😀

Logan Chalmers was excellent when he came on last night. So… yes, if you ask me.

Was right behind this last night and thought it was a clear pen. Free kick to Motherwell for handball is a bonkers decision. Another one.
You could start a game of "guess the Scottish referees decision" and it would become quite popular i reckon, like "spot the ball" Suspect most people would go dive, some would go penalty, but almost none would get it right and say handball. Watch his feet for the clipped heel.

Starting the 2nd half without changes was a mistake. Allowed Motherwell additional time and space to do damage from the midfield area they’d begun to dominate. Subs helped St Johnstone claw back some control. The latest of late equalisers a good outcome, under the circumstances.

Motherwell are doing basically what they please in the middle of the park here. St Johnstone need a change of some sort. Feels like allowing Well this much midfield freedom is asking for trouble.

And there we go. Straight through the middle again. That was not unforeseeable.

A solid showing from St Johnstone in general, and a deserved lead, but that midfield passivity out of possession has reared its head on a couple of occasions, culminating in Ibrahim Said being able to carry the ball 20 odd yards into the box before showing composure to equalise.

Just too soft centred there. No challenges in areas they’re needed.

1-1 at HT. Motherwell’s equaliser was preventable, but they’ve worked Toby Steward on a couple of occasions. Look more dangerous going forward than Saints, who’ve had spells of control but not of a particularly threatening type. More needed after the break.

Feels mild at McDiarmid Park just now. Ask me again at full-time. On another note, the pitch is looking superb. Pic doesn’t really sell it properly, but it’s really impressive.
