Are the Russian military in Mariupol really surprised there is no surrender in exchange for “safe passage” and “humanitarian corridors for civilians”? No one believes a word they say . No one. It is why peace talks founder. Trust . There is none. #Ukraine️

Don't even think about Russia's great unwashed suffering from sanctions. Their majority supports dictator Putin's war crimes. Those who don't protested and were instantly jailed. Just wait for the majority get close to starve to death, maybe then they'll topple the kleptocracy.
Putin's army not only commits crimes against humanity in Ukraine every day, but they fight like cowards, attacking children instead of Ukrainian soldiers. It must be very humiliating to serve in the Russian army now.

Mein lieber Olaf Scholz, bei allem Respekt ist hier eine unmissverständliche Klarstellung notwendig, die der Lage angemessen ist. Diplomatie prallt an Russland ab, ist deshalb nicht zielführend. Dort wird, wie in allen Diktaturen, nur Gewaltanwendung verstanden. Thread (1/12)

Ich danke @ZelenskyyUa für seine eindringlichen Worte im #Bundestag. Wir sehen: Russland treibt seinen grausamen Krieg jeden Tag weiter, mit schrecklichen Verlusten. Wir fühlen uns verpflichtet, alles zu tun, damit die Diplomatie eine Chance hat und der Krieg beendet wird.

Der kann gar nicht nuklear eskalieren, weil er als gieriger Despot kein potentieller Selbstmörder ist, und alles andere kann die NATO gut bewältigen. Handelt endlich entschlossen genug, damit der Völkermord endet. Danke. (12)
