Minting digital representations of Russell 1000 constituents, major index ETFs, and US Treasuries, are now live on Canton Network, built with input from 150+ firms.

The DTCC Tokenization Service is live on @CantonNetwork.
Today’s launch caps a path that started with a December 2025 No-Action Letter from the SEC, authorizing DTC to tokenize Russell 1000 constituents, major-index ETFs, and U.S. Treasuries.
In July, more than 30 TradFi and digital-asset firms validated the service on Canton, setting up today’s full production launch.
DTC is now minting tokenized representations of those securities, with 21 DTC Participants live at launch, including Citadel Securities, J.P. Morgan Securities, Morgan Stanley, State Street, UBS, and Vanguard. It’s a foundational step in bringing capital markets and the broader financial ecosystem onchain on Canton Network.

On their quarterly earnings call, @Nasdaq CEO Adena Friedman highlighted collateral mobility as a leading near-term opportunity for tokenization, citing a Canton proof of concept with Vanguard and Wellington that moved collateral between pools “instantly” and “perfectly.”
Tokenizing assets was the first step. Making them move is the real opportunity.
