๐จ๐จ๏ธ Winter has arrived in Utah and is currently dumping up to 1 FOOT of snow across the Wasatch Mountains, at ski resorts including @AltaSkiArea, @Snowbird, @PCski, @Deer_Valley, @BrightonResort, and @SolitudeMTN. ๐
โณ๐ The ski season is not far behind it, with this storm making its way to Colorado next. We should see lifts start to spin within the next couple of weeks, and we can hardly wait! ๐

A stadium chant for BYU v. Notre Dame that honors both storied, independent-rooted, faith-based institutions - think about how strongly that would contrast with recent issues in college football and our society.

No.
I wanted to cry, so I read Kristin Hannah. #GrownMan #Crying #TheNightingale #GrownManTears amzn.to/4lfhRRH
When we launched Book 1: "๐๐ก๐ ๐๐จ๐ฐ๐๐ซ๐ฌ ๐จ๐ ๐๐ข๐ฆ๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐" in January, I promised that the story wouldnโt end there!
Next week, on Wed. 3/11 the next thread in the tapestry will be revealed!
Itโs a brand new short story, Book 0.5: "๐๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ง ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ฌ ๐

Ancient gods don't vanish.
๏ฟผThey splintered their power into 8 Talismans scattered across the world.
๏ฟผNow, they wait.
๏ฟผUntil today. A boy has found 2 of them.
Where ancient power collides with the modern world in a fast-paced mystery, and time itself becomes both a warning and a weapon. ๏ฟผ๏ฟผ๏ฟผ

Many readers of ๐๐ก๐ ๐๐จ๐ฐ๐๐ซ๐ฌ ๐จ๐ ๐๐ข๐ฆ๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ have noticed something woven just beneath the surface.
The ancient Maya and Aztec had a word for people bound to certain paths and powers: ๐ช๐ฎ๐, or ๐ก๐ฎ๐ต๐๐ฎ๐น.
The shape of your nature.
The lens you see the world through.
The role you are here to play.
For example:
โInvoking two talismans together awakens what should stay asleep,โ Ah Ceel warned.
Hunac tried to mimic his fatherโs obsidian calm.
โAt my first ceremony, the very shadows tried to kill me.โ
Ah Ceelโs ๐๐ข๐ฉ๐ถ๐ข๐ญ is Obsidian.
A volcanic glass forged in an instant by fire and violence. To the Maya, obsidian was sacred, believed to hold power of its own. It was used for ritual blades, mirrors, and divination.
Cool, right?
๐๐ข๐ฉ๐ถ๐ข๐ญ๐ฆ๐ด are not just background detail. I built them into the mythology of the book itself.
Did you notice them?
Do you want to see how deep they go?
I turned this idea into a short, fun worksheet that unlocks layers you may have felt but could not quite name. And, without spoilers, it reveals the answer to one lingering question:
WHAT IS DARINGโS GREATEST FEAR?
Here's a link to the printable version of the worksheet, if you'd like:
