An afternoon well spent.
I decided to adorn our Indian Cart with some summery planters. Iβve topped the pots with our crushed shells, which will help retain moisture during the Summer months, they look prettier than soil and will help to deter slugs too.

Planting up a succulent terrarium.
I use a free draining soil mix consisting of compost, grit & perlite.
I top dress with crushed shells to anchor the plants.
I put the tallest plant at the back of the terrarium first.
I always plant in odd numbers - I think it works well.

Evening all.
Added the recycled crushed whelk shells to the pots of emerging hostas that I was kindly gifted by @ShellEarth as part of the battle against slugs & snails & they look great too.
