RiseX Vault: 35.50% APY??!?
More in-depth in one of our leading vaults, the @risextrade vault.
For this vault, we also have a Pendle Market available.
If you don't want the RiseX points, or you think the market may be overvaluing them, you can just get the PT, currently trading at 16.8% APY.
If you want MORE points, then you can also LP or buy/mint the YT.
A reminder, also that on the summary list we do not show the extra APY from Points, but here you can see it: at the current prices of our internal Points Marketplace, our RiseX Vault is earning 35.50% APY!
Our basis vaults are built to handle every funding regime, negative included.
Negative funding doesn't mean always closing: hold the spike, go flat, or flip to long the perp and short the asset through lending, depending on depth and duration.
Unwinding has a real cost: of nearly 500 negative BTC runs on Binance since 2020, only 3 cost a short more than an assumed 0.30% round trip. The 85 day stretch this year cost a net 0.22%, ETH 0.26% over 96 days.
It's very interesting to see how the equilibrium is different on Hyperliquid compared to large CEXs, regarding directionality and funding.
On Binance BTC since 2020, 14% of funding settlements were negative and the median negative run lasted 8 hours. About 88% of runs ended inside a day, but on Hyperliquid the median is only 2 hours.
On Binance, funding is much more stable too, with almost 50% of he settlements on the neutral line invented by Bitmex, while on Hyperliquid the number is closer to a third (still high).
This is probably due to the less structured, more retail and more directional trading that populates Hyperliquid still.
On smaller and newer Perp DEXs we see a much different behavior, with lower liquidity, higher funding volatility, and sometimes protracted periods of negative funding even in a positive environment (a lot of traders run neutral positions with high rebalancing for points).
There are also other interesting, albeit more obvious, correlations: the long periods of negative funding are generally shallow ones. In 2026, Binance BTC's trailing 30 day funding stayed below zero for 85 days (27 Feb to 22 May), and ETH's for 96.... But worst reading was only about 4% annualized below zero.
It was still enough to ruin the basis trade for everyone involved for a while, but it was very contained.
Extended published its XTEN docs, so here's what it means if you hold Shift Wrapped Extended Points.
Shift will claim the XTEN balance that the Shift Extended Vault will receive at TGE and pass it onto its users (Shift Wrapped Extended Points holders).
Shift takes no cut on the points, and users will be able to claim their XTEN at the exact rate we will receive them, directly in their wallets.
A few details from Extended's docs: 1B XTEN supply, 300M (30%) is the community allocation for eligible Extended Points participants, fully unlocked at TGE. This led the community to approximatively identify the amount of XTEN per point to ~4.29 XTEN.
We don't know if this is going to be the final number, nor if the distribution will be fully linear between point holders, so this should be taken as barely indicative and community math.
Trading of Shift Wrapped Extended Points is still open. the market will close before the TGE, so XTEN balances can be attributed in an orderly way.
Weekly Update on Shift Vaults
Top 2 this week, weekly APY as of Oct 28:
- hibaUSD: 21.42%, yet another week above 20%
- risexUSDC: 13.04%, also above 13% for the second week in a row
It's Tuesday again = Points Day!
We will distribute Hibachi and RiseX points today, with bonuses around 30% for both.
Wondering how did our RiseX Vault perform this month so far? 👇
We’re releasing a new ltLLP ↔ hibaUSD liquidity pool, giving users a direct way to move between the two vaults.
Instead of necessarily withdrawing from one vault, waiting for the withdrawal to complete, and depositing into the other, users can swap ltLLP and hibaUSD directly through the pool.
Less waiting. More flexibility.
Another Weekly Update
Our top 2 performing vaults for the week are:
- @hibachi_xyz vault with 33.20% APY
- @risextrade vault with 13.33% APY
We also have important news concerning other Shift products.
First of all, upon @extendedapp migration to Arc, we will perform extUSD migration to @arc, and users will start enjoying increased rewards and extra points.
The migration is scheduled for Thursday, this week, and preparation is already ongoing, as announced earlier.
Secondly, our @arcus_xyz vault entered the last stretch of internal testing. During the last month of testing, the strategy achieved an average APY of 16.15%, and generated volume of 3x its AUM. We will soon open deposits on @RobinhoodCrypto Chain.
Weekly Update on Shift Vaults
It was overall a strong week, with our Lighter and @risextrade vaults reaching double digits APY, while the @hibachi_xyz vault marked a fresh ATH in Share Price.
We will soon share an announcement concerning the improvement of two vaults and the release of the Arcus Vault!
