We'll be deploying 1.43 to ShoutWiki sites this weekend. Staff will be working all weekend to deal with any unforeseen bugs that crop up.
CreateWiki will not be available immediately after the upgrade, however, we expect the rewrite will be completed during this release cycle.
We've completed our file server transition - there will be some slowness on visiting pages for the first time as the servers work hard to generate any thumbnails used on those pages.
This massively reduced our transfer size and also means we're not storing hundreds of gigabytes of unused thumbnails any longer. If you're not seeing a file, please make sure you're not hotlinking it - any problems please contact support@.

This weekend we'll be making images read-only to finish up the deployment of our new file server.

Apologies for this evening's blip - it seems a RAM module in our frontend server developed a critical fault and had to be taken offline while it was swapped out.
Regular service should be restored!
A (not so) little update from @Lcawte on the 1.35 upgrade, and what we're up to next.

Performance has now stabilised - we can get back to normal business and fix up any remaining software bugs. Please send us an email if you spot anything out of place (or if you're sure of the bug, file a task on Phabricator) ift.tt/sCeZ5V6
Yes, we're aware. No, we don't have an ETA.
The combination of spam refreshing to see if it's working and certain misbehaving web crawlers are putting too much strain on the servers that are currently trying to tidy up the last of the upgrade (and makin… ift.tt/f2HiOGe
We're doing some backend maintenance and preparations for upgrades/server moves this afternoon. Apologies for any degraded performance and downtime you might experience.
We'll be posting an update on everything that's going on and where we're going (nothing dramatic, don't worry) in the next few weeks - just super busy over here currently and it needs a little more attention than a 30 second Facebook post! ift.tt/37ptRKJ
Normal service should be resumed. The outage was caused by a full disk on the production server (still the old one, for now, it's a pretty busy time this final year of University stuff...) that was retaining local copies of monthly backups unexpectedly.

Apologies for all the disruption today, we're doing some routine maintenance and prep work for moving to our new server. ift.tt/37ptRKJ

Apologies for the downtime this morning - we were rolling the newest MediaWiki security release and ran into a few compatibility problems that we were not expecting for this kind of release. They've been fixed now and everything should be back to normal. ift.tt/37ptRKJ
