It's been a few days and there doesn't seem to be any end in sight of these Scammers still convincing people they were "unjustly banned" (SPOILER, THEY WERE WITH #jruhub they absolutely were banned rightly so)
As a former client of #mikozenstudios who was ALSO a Broker with JRU (only we found out in Jan2026), maybe trust the word of former clients who have found out the truth with certain brokers ADMITTING THEIR CONNECTION instead of just automatically believing your scammer when they are lying to you.
Your "artist" doesn't actually care about you. They only care about your wallet.

In this probably long post I want to express my opinion about the situation currently going on with the mass ban of brokers on VGEn.
Even thought it doesn't affect me personally I do have an opinion about it and I want to share it with you :D (sorry about this I really need to get this out of my system oke lol )
VGEN MASS BAN:
I like it, can't lie about it, good job. Brokers in general have been more an issue than anything else and those who also basically financially abused the artist related to them are the lowest of the lows. I am happy they got a little bit of consequences.
To all the " I was banned by mistake I swear to Cthulhu that I am a legit artist that can pump out 15 pieces a day with rates below market because I am blessed with the speed of a 1000+ tentacles up my bum", shut it.
If it really is a mistake appeal the ban and hope for the best, if your claims are legit probably your account will be put back up.
REFUND GALORE:
I hope that everyone that had a commission in progress with these people will be able to get their money back, I doubt it is going to happen, but I do hope it will.
For those who did get their commissions... I don't feel that charging back or pretending a refund is the perfect way to go about it, not for those people that will keep using said art in their streams ecc but you do you boo.
AND WHAT DO I DO WITH THE ART NOW?
In my personal opinion... if you commissioned someone and you did not know they where brokers or affiliated with JRUhub and such you are not at fault and you should not feel bad in using the art you got. Especially VTuber models and other very expensive pieces of work that are not easily replaceable. Just be honest about it, write a few lines in the credit section or a post if you feel like it, but at the end of the day the fault doesn't lie with you. It is THEIR error... not yours. So I do not think you should feel pressured to just send 200+€ down the drain.
In conclusion, yay less pests on VGen, I hope that u get your money back if you deserve it, keep using the art if you can not afford to just throw it into oblivion.

And to all the accounts of "artists" going around spamming about " I will give you a 50% discount on my art because you were cheated by a bad bad broker" or " To help everyone involved I am offering a xx% discount on all my services and my first born because I am the bestest boy" ... have some decency... please. The situation is bad as it is, we do not need more pests to feed on those who were already affected by roaches.
Keep your slop in your chatgpt, if we are lucky all of you are next.

The latest purge on VGen and posts about it keeps me convinced even more, how naive & vulnerable VTubers are.
Most of you, have almost 0 knowledge and self-awareness about these brokers, scams and other relatable stuff.
I have a lil story of mine to share related to the topic.
DETAILS RE: UNETHICAL BROKERS
After a thorough review of our moderation processes, we have discovered a bug in our reporting system that's been grouping new reports with old watchlist items instead of surfacing them to the moderation queue.
This means that while we were already actively banning unethical brokers and our community have been reporting them to us, we often never saw the proof that we needed to tie all these pseudonym accounts together - effectively allowing them to ban evade.
While it is really unfortunate that this bug has hindered our ability to moderate effectively for a while, the good news is that those reports are not lost. We have resurfaced the missing reports and are going through the backlog to take swift action against the bad actors and their affiliates.
Of our 200,000+ artists, we have identified ~300 associated accounts so far who we have now removed from the site. We have strong conviction in the actions that we have taken on all these accounts. From misrepresenting the nature of their account and services (ie pretending to be individuals when they’re a group, presenting a service as custom when it reuses a base), to ban evading and intentionally inviting bad actors, these are not the people VGen was built to support or advocate for, and for breaking our ToS, they have all been removed.
Although most commissions will not be eligible for refunds since the majority of these accounts were suspended due to ToS violations and association with bad actors and not explicitly fraudulent commission activity, if you paid via VGen Payments and have not yet released the withheld funds or you paid via PayPal and your payment is within the Buyer Protection Period, you may create a ticket to ask for a refund or one-time payment dispute approval.
However, if you paid via VGen Payments and have already released the funds or you paid via PayPal and your payment has passed its Buyer Protection Period, we will unfortunately not be able to recoup those funds and for that we are very sorry.

With many broker accounts being banned on Vgen, I went back and reviewed everyone I've commissioned on the site.
Of the almost 200 pieces I commissioned, 2 were from brokers who have been banned.
I'm VERY picky about who I commission, and I tend to look through artists' portfolios.
I'm super sad that I won't be able to know the specific person who worked on my art because their work was wonderful. 😭
Update regarding community safety on VGen
UNETHICAL BROKERS:
Happy to say we’ve identified many previously unconfirmed JRUhub brokers, affiliates, and other unethical group accounts and they have all been banned for misrepresenting the nature of their profiles and services, intentionally inviting bad actors, and ban evading.
Big thank you to everyone in our community who has helped to investigate, report on-site, and provide detailed proof that our team were then able to review and take action on. Thank you for helping us keep the community safe!
REMAINING BROKERS:
In the short term, broker discovery has been rebalanced, their withheld funds processed through VGen Payments may not be released until after a commission is complete, and all brokers will continue to not have any invite codes. If any broker accounts mistype themselves as an individual or studio, they will now be suspended for at least 1 month immediately upon discovery.
We are still evaluating whether additional long-term actions are required.
Please do not assume all brokers are bad. However, if you do see suspicious behaviour, please continue to report them on-site and we will investigate.
ARTIST INVITE CODES:
There is now a hard limit of 2 unused artist invite codes per Verified Artist at any given time. If you earn more through a challenge or special event drop and you already have 2 in your dashboard, you won’t receive any more.
ARTIST CODE GIVEAWAYS:
Effective Nov 1, 2026, general contests, raffles, or applications are no longer allowed, even if recipients are screened. This is due to the increasing sophistication of groups who fraudulently misrepresent themselves as individuals.
If you see someone hosting a raffle or are in violation of our Artist Code Policy in any way, please report them on-site with a screenshot or link to their violating post and we’ll investigate. Their first offence will result in a warning before more severe administrative actions may be taken for repeated offences, including losing verification status and suspensions.

A note to clients finding out this week that they purchased work from an undisclosed Broker / a #jruhub affiliated account.
Most of us were completely unaware of what jruhub is. This is the exact reason EAH was created, to compile information in one location, that would hopefully help explain things and bring awareness .
When people are talking about "being scammed" they are not talking about you the client being scammed. The artists who work on your commissions are the ones getting scammed.
Many passed employees have tried to speak out about jruhub and their affiliated studios, and have been silenced. Social media accounts hacked and banned. Threaten and doxxed by their employer. Some are afraid to speak out publicly at all due to retaliation and being in close proximity to the studios.
They hire children and have them take client commissions for no pay (art education is considered their pay, and no you the client arent made aware a student is making your commission). They also have these children (as young as 14) working on NSFW commissions. They have a hiring age cap & a lot of their hiring ads prefer you be single (Why your marital status matters is wild on its own).
I beg that you please take a couple minutes out of your day and look into jruhub before deciding to continue to support the studios affiliated with them.

If you find that your artist has been banned from VGen and it's due to the Broker Ban wave that JUST HAPPENED, there's a very HIGH PROBABILITY your artist is a Broker with JRUHUB and if you are mid commission your BEST BET is to request those refunds asap. Vgen only has a 90 day window so I'm sorry to say it, it might be best to start clawing back your money because you don't want to be one of the clients that finds out your artist was a scammer and NOT be able to get your money back.
THIS GOES FOR ANYONE THAT IS GOING THROUGH THIS PIPELINE OF "my artist was just banned, what do I do!?"
