THE SHIELD AROUND THE KERCH BRIDGE IS GETTING PUNCHED FULL OF HOLES. Russia turned the Kerch Bridge into the ultimate symbol of its occupation of Crimea — then surrounded it with layers of military protection. Now Ukraine is systematically attacking that protection. 🔥 A military installation near the bridge was reportedly hit, with an ammunition depot burning and secondary explosions. 💥 Ukraine also says it struck TWO Russian Pantsir air-defense systems in Crimea, including a Pantsir-S2. That does NOT mean Crimea is suddenly defenseless. But every destroyed radar, launcher and air-defense battery opens another gap — and makes the next Ukrainian strike harder to stop. The Kerch Bridge isn’t untouchable anymore. And the shield protecting it is getting thinner.

🚨 HOLY SHIT — SOUTH KOREA JUST HIT THE BRAKES ON ITS ENTIRE STOCK MARKET. The KOSPI crashed 8.6% to 4,923 almost immediately after Friday’s open, triggering a FULL 20-MINUTE MARKETWIDE CIRCUIT BREAKER. This was not just a program-trading “sidecar.” THE STOCK MARKET ITSELF WAS HALTED. 🔥 Samsung Electronics: about −10% 🔥 SK Hynix: about −13% 🔥 KOSPI intraday low: roughly 4,911 🔥 At that low: almost 48% BELOW its record high Trading has now resumed and the KOSPI has recovered somewhat, but it remains down roughly 7% in extremely volatile trading. And this comes AFTER Korea already plunged 5.28% Thursday. Then Wall Street got annihilated overnight. Now Seoul has opened into the wreckage. One of the world’s most important semiconductor markets just fell hard enough that the exchange had to STOP TRADING. This is no longer “just another bad day.”

🚨 MISSISSIPPI JUST GOT EVEN TIGHTER — AND COLOM’S LEAD GREW AGAIN. 🔵 Scott Colom (D) now leads Cindy Hyde-Smith (R) by 1,813 votes in the still-uncalled U.S. Senate race. That’s up from roughly 1,100 earlier today. But this is NOT over. Mississippi still has roughly 17,000 affidavit/provisional ballots estimated to be unresolved, plus about 3,600 mail ballots that had not yet been returned. Properly postmarked mail ballots can still arrive within five days of Election Day. And now the lawyers are moving in. Hyde-Smith’s side has asked counties to segregate and preserve affidavit ballots, while both campaigns prepare for a potentially drawn-out legal fight. COLOM: +1,813. MISSISSIPPI: STILL TOO CLOSE TO CALL. AND EVERY BALLOT FROM HERE MATTERS.

HOLY SHIT — TRUMP’S RUSSIAN DIESEL RESCUE PLAN IS LITERALLY DRIFTING AROUND THE OCEAN LOOKING FOR A BUYER You could not script this better. America is sitting on 20-year-low diesel inventories. Drivers are paying roughly $6.25–$6.30 a gallon. Trump opened a temporary legal pathway for 300,000+ metric tons of Russian diesel. And now? One tanker turned away. One switched to Brazil. One is “for orders.” Another sanctioned tanker is heading west with no publicly confirmed U.S. buyer. New Jersey is warning terminals they could face civil and criminal exposure for unloading the stuff. Read that again. The United States is desperate for diesel. Russia has diesel. Trump cleared a path for Russian diesel. And American buyers still appear to be saying: HELL NO So Putin’s fuel is now becoming the maritime version of a toxic package nobody wants to accept delivery on. This isn’t a rescue plan. It’s a floating political disaster!

$3.2 TRILLION GONE. NASDAQ-100 −6.4%. NVIDIA −9.3%. KOSPI ALREADY −42.6% FROM ITS HIGH. Holy shit. Seoul hasn’t even opened into the full damage yet. The first tripwire is −8%. Then −15%. At −20%, they shut the damn market down. Wall Street just nuked the exact trade Korea is loaded with: chips, AI, semis. This is not the night to casually yell “buy the dip.” Watch the bell. Watch the semis. Watch −8%.

After failing to execute Christa Pike, Tennessee is now asking a federal judge to keep her confined in the prison infirmary. State attorneys argue that Pike still needs round-the-clock medical care and that the infirmary provides the highest level of care available at the prison. Pike’s attorneys say continued isolation violates a 2024 settlement and is harming her recovery after the Sept. 30 execution attempt. No decision yet. Pike’s attorneys are due to reply Nov. 6. Tennessee tried to execute her. She survived. Now the court is being asked to decide how the state may confine her while she recovers.

I can’t remember a sitting vice president in my lifetime publicly putting this much distance between himself and his own president over an ongoing war. Vance didn’t explicitly say, “We never should have gone to war,” but he came remarkably close: he said the war caused their electoral disaster, said the people urging an end to it were right, and challenged supporters to explain why the cost was worth it, while Trump says he’d do it again.

BREAKING: Harmeet Dhillon, Trump’s head of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division, is resigning, according to multiple reports. Bloomberg says she had told allies she would leave after the midterms, and DOJ is reportedly bracing for additional senior departures during the lame-duck period. This one looks substantive, not social-media rumor.

TRUMP REPORTEDLY RETREATS TO WHITE HOUSE RESIDENCE AFTER REPUBLICANS’ DEVASTATING MIDTERM DEFEAT The Daily Beast, citing a Daily Mail report based on anonymous White House sources, says Donald Trump withdrew to his private second-floor residence as Republican losses piled up Tuesday night. Trump was reportedly with aide Natalie Harp and Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, watching Fox News. One insider described him as “barely uttering a word and paralyzed into silence.” Another said: “It’s very, very dark in the residence.” Democrats have won control of both the House and Senate, dramatically changing the balance of power in Washington and giving the incoming Congress broad authority to investigate the administration, block nominees and challenge Trump’s agenda. The political earthquake is real.

🚨 MARCO RUBIO MAY BE HEADING FOR THE EXIT. The Independent reports Rubio is “on resignation watch” after Republicans’ disastrous midterms, with insiders expecting he could leave the Trump administration and position himself for a 2028 presidential run against JD Vance. And apparently part of the calculation is distancing himself from Trump’s Iran war. The irony is incredible. Rubio spent years carrying Trump’s political baggage. Now that the ship has taken on water, he may suddenly decide he’d rather not be standing on the deck. You can jump off a sinking ship. That doesn’t mean you weren’t part of the crew that steered it into the iceberg. As recently as September, Rubio publicly said he had “no plans” to run in 2028.

Scott Colom is still ahead, and his lead grew overnight. The latest AP-based count shows: Scott Colom (D): 464,926 — 49.0% Cindy Hyde-Smith (R): 463,788 — 48.9% Colom lead: 1,138 votes About 96% of the expected vote is counted. (Apelections Interactive) The race has NOT been called yet. Mississippi still has absentee-by-mail ballots that can arrive through Nov. 10 if properly postmarked, plus an unknown number of affidavit/provisional ballots. The state says about 3,600 mail ballots remain outstanding. Counties certify by Nov. 13. (The Wall Street Journal) The notable movement: Colom was ahead by only 65 votes yesterday morning; after another batch was counted Wednesday evening, that advantage jumped to 1,138. (ABC News) So: Colom is leading, the lead is larger than yesterday, but Mississippi is still officially too close to call.

🔥 UKRAINE IS SYSTEMATICALLY CRIPPLING RUSSIA’S OIL-REFINING MACHINE. Ukraine’s military intelligence says 15 of Russia’s 38 major oil refineries have been knocked out of operation — with another 12 forced to cut production. At the affected plants, refining volumes are down a staggering 55.4% since the beginning of the year. The damage so far: more than $23.2 BILLION. And repairing or replacing the destroyed equipment could cost Russia another $20+ BILLION. Moscow is scrambling to shift production to remote refineries, but shortages of rail tankers and fuel trucks are making it harder to move fuel where it’s needed. This isn’t a few drones causing inconvenience. Ukraine is attacking the economic bloodstream that fuels Putin’s war.

All hell broke loose in Russia's city of Ryazan as Ukrainian Forces targeted a number of facilities in the area. Among other targets that included the Dyagilevo airbase, an Ozon logistics hub and a data center was their 5th refinery in only seven days. This Rosneft facility, commissioned in 1960, is located approximately 500 km from Ukraine, in the city of Ryazan, southeast of Moscow. One of Russia’s largest refineries, it has an annual processing capacity of 17 million tons of crude oil (approximately 340,000 barrels per day), equivalent to roughly 5% of Russia’s refining volume. The refinery produces gasoline, diesel and aviation fuel, including supplies for Russia’s military. A major fire erupted following the overnight attack. The extent of the damage remains unclear. The facility has repeatedly been targeted by Ukrainian forces. Previous reported attacks include: • March 13, 2024 • May 1, 2024 • January 24, 2025 • February 24, 2025 • May 15, 2026 • July 29, 2026 • September 6, 2026 • October 15, 2026

“Donald, what the FUCK did you do? You told them to pretend you were on the ballot. They did. And they voted against you. You had the House. You had the Senate. You had the party scared shitless of crossing you, and somehow you turned the midterms into a national referendum on Donald Trump and got your ass handed to you. Texas? Gone. The Senate? Gone. The House? Gone. And now you’re going to tell me it was somebody else’s fault? Bullshit. I taught you the rules: never admit defeat, never apologize, always attack. But there was another rule, Donald: DON’T FUCKING LOSE. You made yourself the ballot. America marked the other box. Now stop looking for somebody to blame and start looking for a lawyer.” — What Roy Cohn might be screaming this morning
