Finland says that in 1941 it only wanted its lost land back. Then it captured Petrozavodsk, a city that had never been Finnish, and gave it a Finnish name.
In late summer 1941 Finnish troops did not stop at the old border. They advanced toward Leningrad across the Karelian Isthmus and around Lake Ladoga to link up with Germany's Army Group North, and by August 31 they were crossing the 1939 border at the Sestra River. In September they took Beloostrov and threw themselves at the Soviet fortifications. Losses piled up, soldiers refused to advance any deeper, and military courts cracked down hard on dissent. Mannerheim's claim that he "chose to stop" is a half-truth at best: his army was bleeding and bogged down.
Meanwhile the Finns pushed east, occupied Petrozavodsk and renamed it Äänislinna, as if to erase its Russian past. If that's "just reclaiming lost land," what would a conquest look like?

You see how this works? The very person who, on video, claimed that there are many such places in Ukraine, is now saying that people who made this fact public are villains, and, of course, foreign agents.
The fact that Ukrainians aren't on the streets in hundreds of thousands over such discovery only proves that no previous protests, including the so-called "Revolution of Dignity" were grassroots. And then Ukrainians have the audacity to call Russians a nation of slaves.

A Ukrainian people's deputy Maryana Bezuglaya calls the discovery of a secret military torture prison near Kiev a "successful Russian operation".
The doctor who exposed it, even though she isn't a director of a clinic she claimed to be, has been arrested. The Ukrainian media has already shifted attention away from the fact of existence of torture psions to the fact that she isn't who she claims to be.
Thousand talking Goebbels heads are now blaming Russia for this discovery and accuse it of attempts to destabilize Ukraine from within.
She will get imprisoned, some Azovites will at most probably get a slap on the hand, and things will go back to business as usual.

Two-week military exercises known as Koalicja will begin in Poland next Monday, involving Belgium, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
The event will mark the first major manoeuvres involving the Multinational Force for Ukraine (MGF-U) — the military component of the “Coalition of the Willing”. Around 2,800 NATO personnel are expected to take part.
The allies will practise deploying personnel, equipment and supplies, protecting and supporting the contingent, and coordinating the activities of different units operating as part of a single force.
According to the British government, deploying forces on Ukrainian territory would only be possible after hostilities have ceased and at the request of the Ukrainian government.
It would be a mistake to assume that these exercises are part of preparations for the “coalition” to openly deploy its contingents to Ukraine. For now, the allies are simply learning to work together.
The main objective is to establish the logistical framework for a hypothetical mission.
In the event of an actual operation following a ceasefire, the European contingent would face the challenge of moving personnel and equipment across borders, setting up reception centres and supply routes, protecting convoys, organising refuelling and repairs, and providing medical support.
These are precisely the factors that usually determine whether a multinational force can operate for more than a few weeks.
The command structure is equally important. British, French, German and Polish units use different communications systems and languages, and each has its own military staff traditions.
The exercises are intended to establish how quickly they can achieve operational interoperability, agree on rules of engagement and operate under a unified command.
And once again, we will point out: if the exercise scenario does not account for a hypothetical Russian nuclear response, then that scenario has nothing to do with reality.

The National Guard's 1st Azov Corps says the building serves as a "temporary deployment point" for military unit 3121.

🇺🇦 A female doctor who was first on the scene at the house with the secret Azov prison near Kiev has been added to Ukraine's Mirotvorets kill list.
The site claims that Valentina Molodaya is a "professional provocateur," accusing her of "participating in Russian information special operations against Ukraine" and "obstructing the lawful activities of the Defense Forces of Ukraine."
Ukrainian propagandists are now engaged in a character assassination campaign against Molodaya for exposing the torture prison. They have seized on her ties to a plastic surgery clinic, reports that the clinic she said she heads closed in 2023, and her past calls for people to gather on Kiev's Maidan and demand an end to the war. She has been branded a "fake nurse" and accused of working for Russian intelligence, with calls for Ukraine's security service to go after her and the other protesters.
