Nobody is saying “Russia good,” and throwing around the “campist” label just because I look at global power structures is so lazy. I know Russian imperial history. But this specific war is happening in the context of post-Soviet reality, not the 19th century. Pointing out decades of US and NATO encirclement since 1991 isn't ignoring their past, it’s analysing the material world we actually live in today. Take your bullshit somewhere else.

Putin obviously isn't a communist but he's an imperialist and thinks the USSR was better than no empire at all. Russia doesn't want peace because it started a war, escalated it, and could end it at any time but doesn't. They openly say they need to massacre Ukrainians.
