Troy overcomes a 14-point deficit with 5 takeaways, then becomes the second-straight Sun Belt team to walk off James Madison in overtime

Two weeks ago JMU fans made fun of 2022 App State rushing the field beating Troy on a Hail Mary. Saying it was their Super Bowl.
JMU is now 0-2 against both teams two weeks later. Maybe JMU should focus on winning their own โSuper Bowlsโ instead?

Hope they mentioned my favorite part. Troy rolled their kicker out early on second down, Napier tried to ice them and Troy just put their regular offense back and rushed for a first down against the JMU special teams.

Troy senior safety Justin Powe was EVERYWHERE tonight. Powe had three picks, seven tackles and two clutch pass breakups that sent this game to overtime in the Trojans' 24-21 win at JMU.

Itโs not too often you can name the Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Week before 80% of the games are even played, but yeah- just give it to Powe already.

๐POSTGAME | It was a painful loss for the #FAU Owls to swallow, as Zach Kittley discussed with our @Rich26Pereira after falling to North Texas. He noted the major negatives on defense, placing necessary focus there ahead of a crucial home game against #UTSA next Thursday. ๐ฆ๐

In all my years of @TroyTrojansFB fandom, few wins have been as viscerally satisfying as last nightโs win against @JMUFootball. Weโre sending them out like we sent @TXSTATEFOOTBALL outโฆwith a loss. Couldnโt have happened to a more arrogant program.

FAU is wasting a historic season from their Owl-Raid offense. If Iโm Caden Veltkamp and Easton Messer, Iโm not talking to the defense for even a second on the airplane back to Boca tonight.
