In Part 2 of Folk & Roots tonight I have new tracks to play and an interview with @Bluebyrdband about their new album and I pay a song in tribute to a local musician Jerry Bird @StateofUndress who has sadly passed away and I’ll finish with the usual Ukrainian Folk Song
Looking forward to playing a duo gig tonight @chaplinscellar as part of Solid Air hosted by Conrad. Sharing the stage with Ollins Lande and John Muir. Should be a good evening of original music. @gr8musicvenues @MrKypsLiveMusic @ChinnersRocks @P1an0Man

I'm at BBC HQ in London where there is a statue of George Orwell and his words
"If Liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear."

I’ve read this tweet a number of times, now. I honestly still can’t find anything to object to.

George, I'm so sorry you experienced that and thank you for sharing your story. Every week, 500 people are now dying on the backs of ambulances or in A&E waiting rooms like the one you attended. The @Conservatives have done irreparable damage to the health of our nation. #SOSNHS

Vivienne . In 1977 you gave me a T shirt to frame my anger , you later gave me a fine & dandy suit to upset the establishment and earlier this year you gave me a typically spiky day to remember at your home . You were so very sparky , sparkly and special . We will all miss you .
Great news Mike! Sending you lots of love, hope and strength from Dorset.

Looking forward to playing at The Bear Inn Wilton nr #Salisbury this coming Friday 26th Aug. We love playing #beerfestivals. Just our kind of audience! #realale #CAMRA #folkrock
Taken from his album Crocodile Shoes which featured songs from the BBC TV series of the same name. Be good to watch it again on i-player, BBC please take note!
Jimmy Nail trending. He's become like Phil Collins for people who just want a comfortable anti-pop reference but who don't know about pop in the first place.
He made some great records. Including this, written by Prefab Sprout's Paddy Mac.

Johnson 'delivered' Brexit? Brexit has only been delivered in the sense that a flat-pack of furniture is delivered. It hasn’t been assembled yet because it won’t fit through the front door, several of the most important pieces are missing and the instructions are in Russian.
Couldn't agree more! Saw them @towerseyfesti in 2019, they were fab. Liam also did a superb online gig during lockdown. We hope to see them again soon! – at Christchurch, England
The @hothouseflowers are a national treasure. Brilliant live. Superb musicianship. How I have missed live gigs. We are so lucky to have bands like @hothouseflowers. A privilege. Thanks @fobraonain and band mates. You brought happiness to a lot of people.

Anyone seen my stolen guitar? Martin Shenandoah serial 508691, Fishman pickup panel on side, recognisable by split between wood panels on front. Taken from Devon Storage, NASHVILLE, sometime last few months, plus Taylor 12str, Taylor 6 + Guild 6. Thankyou for help. #TheWaterboys

So good to see Dave Sharp founding member of @thealarm live in #Brighton at #Concorde2 guest of The Alarm. A cracking acoustic set and chat. We really enjoyed that.
