The foundation for our memorial has been laid to remember those 233 brave men of the 487th Bomb Group from @Station137 Lavenham who lost their lives. We have £2k to go out of the £16k needed justgiving.com/crowdfunding/…

Built by John Laing between 1943 & 1944. This is my favourite picture of B24s (Liberators) queuing up on the perimeter track with the Control Tower in the background. I love the fact that the turret gunner has asked the pilot to swing his B24 around so that he can get the picture

The Red Devils display team have jumped into Normandy, including a tandem jump with D-Day veterans Harry Read and Jock Hutton. On D-Day, Mr Read, now 95, was a 20-year-old wireless operator and Mr Hutton, now 94, was a 19-year-old in 13th (Lancashire) Parachute Battalion.

What a wonderful concert last night in Lavenham Church, thanks to Robyn Lloyd-Hughes of FOLA, who organised it. Here’s a small clip of the Wattisham Military Wives’ Choir singing. More photos and video clips from the event to come....
