βTherefore I say to you, be not solicitous for your life, what you shall eat, nor for your body, what you shall put on. Is not the life more than the meat: and the body more than the raiment?
Youβll never guess what this is in response to. Okay, maybe you will.

Actually yes (assuming no payment or or similar is made which would encourage the production of more); I always thought it was absurd that that was considered bad ever since I heard about it for the first time.
True or false: even if the material element of original sin (concupiscence) were also taken away in baptism, original sin would still pass on to the descendants of baptized Christians.

Pray for God to grant His grace for a lost sheep to return to the holy faith.
I will convert to Holy Orthodoxy.
For many of you, who know me a bit better or who read some of my tweets, this is hardly a surprise. For others, this might come as a surprise.
The truth is, I have felt lost in the Catholic Church for quite a long time, especially here in Germany. The Divine Liturgy gave me something, that I have been begging God for, for months: to expirience His holy presence and to find comfort and true, apostolic Worship, as well as nourishment for my Soul.
Now, I don't want to take time to attack the Catholic Church and on the contrary, I want to say, that I am deeply grateful for all the amazing Catholics I got to know. I took a lot from my time in the church, although I think, that I did jump into the church too hastily and regret, not taking enough time beforehand to evaluate the different claims.
For the same reason, that I don't want to talk bad about catholicism, I also don't want to share my specific reasons for the moment, since I don't want to use this moment to attack others.
Be it as it may, I look forword to be received into the Holy Orthodox Church. I will meet with a Priest regarding this matter soon.
A special thanks goes to those, who helped me on this way. One of my closest friends, who is not on Twitter. My dear friend @thisisninosway, My dear brother @jiopre119965 and also dear Subdeacon @Willibaldrocor and many others.
Either you agree or disagree with my decision or either you are indifferent about it, I am humbly asking for your prayers.
Calvinist limitarians trying to defend the historical pedigree of their doctrine always throw a bunch of Protestant names in there (I donβt know or care if all those taught it) and thenβ¦St. Augustine. But St. Augustine was unaware of this limitarian doctrine, he speaks so clearly against the Pelagians regarding the universal efficacy of baptism, even for infants (and it certain that no sacrament is efficacious without the blood of the one Mediator).
βIf you are not too obstinate, Julian, I believe you will see I have answered and refuted all the arguments you have brought forth in your four volumes to show that we should not believe in original sin and that we cannot regard the concupiscence of the flesh as evil without also condemning marriage. It has been shown that he alone is not bound by the ancient paternal debt who has changed inheritance and father; where he who is himself adopted through grace discovers the sale co-heir who is heir through nature; that carnal concupiscence does not inflict death after death on him alone who in the death of Christ has found the death by which he dies to sin and escapes the death by which he had been born in sin. For, one died for all: therefore, all died; and He died for all. Nor can there ever live any for whom He did not die, who, Himself alive, died for the dead. Denying these things, attacking them, trying to destroy these defenses of the Catholic faith and to rend the very sinews of the Christian religion and of true godliness, you dare assert you are waging war on the ungodly, when as a matter of fact you are using the weapons of ungodliness against the mother who gave birth to you spiritually.β

Particular atonement isnβt new, and it isnβt fringe. It has a long and substantial history within Reformed Christianity.

A tragedy has struck my family. My daughter was still born, after an emergency c-section. My wife almost lost her life. Please pray for the two of us during this difficult time.
If heβs ever missed with this quote, I have yet to see evidence of it.
Any action, even that which is materially indifferent or even good, can become sinful on the part of the subject if a bad intention is connected with it. So it is simply not the case that you can have the βsame intentionsβ as someone using contraception and be fine.
Moral acts are specified not by their matter, but by their objects. Otherwise, normal marital relations and fornication would be exactly the same.
As a Catholic I wish there was a more persuasive and compelling argument for why contraception is immoral, but natural family planning is (can be) moral, despite the fact that you can have the exact same circumstances, intentions, and outcome.
I'm sorry, but the traditional philosophical arguments from teleology just don't get the job done.
Just as all things are invisible to a blind man, even many of the clear passages of Scripture become unintelligible to those without the Church and the rule of faith.

Our beautiful son died today. Words cant describe our loss and pain.
We are moved by all the support and prayers. Thank you.
Please consider us and his four siblings in prayer, we are all heartbroken.
Blessed are those who mourn,
for they shall be comforted
