@ProFootballDoc weighs in on Jalen Hurts' medical situation.

This sounds like an arrogant “try us” to me.
Commissioner Roger Goodell on a potential investigation of the circumstances surrounding Jalen Hurts playing in London with a blood clot in his leg: "We welcome that." nbcsports.com/nfl/profootbal…
“There is no doctor who is taking orders from a football person."
Total and utter lie.

Statement from the NFLPA on the #Eagles and QB Jalen Hurts:
“The NFLPA is not aware of any NFL investigation into the medical care provided to Jalen Hurts. In fact, the league previously informed the union that it did not plan to review the care he received. Before conclusions are drawn about how this situation was handled, there must be a full investigation into what occurred. Determining the facts is essential to ensuring players receive the highest level of care and protection going forward.”

The Jalen Hurts story may be the most ridiculous in the 36 years I’ve been watching sports and 25 years I’ve been in sports media.
Beyond insane.
It is not normal and shouldn’t be framed as such.
This team is a joke.

Howie Roseman & Jeffrey Lurie, two gutless cowards for not speaking to the press. #Eagles
They can’t speak. They aren’t allowed to speak. They’re just puppets.
And if they ever do speak, it’ll be scripted.
Howie Roseman is a sociopath. And a piece of garbage.
That organization is built on fear. If you don’t comply, you’re fired. Integrity is compromised.

Howie Roseman is always consulting with the medical staff before game days. Just saying.
Well with Jalen Hurts playing in London vs Jags on no sleep, blood clots in his lungs, this story about Howie Roseman hazing Lane Johnson into playing a game in London vs the Jags has NEVER been more relevant
Lane Johnson retired shortly before the Eagles trip to London.
They kept their medical integrity.
And when against the FO.
Have no idea really what took place here. When I was with the Eagles and we won the Super Bowl, the team surprisingly moved on from/changed the medical + athletic training staff in the months right after. Timing seemed odd.
At some point in the next year or two they made even more changes, replacing the replacements. I don’t know much about why, but it was frustrating as someone receiving good medical care to have to change doctors and not have stability.
Think they have made even more changes recently. It is confusing on what the reporting structure is and who would make the final determination that he can play.
It’s the job of the organization and its medical staff to protect the player from himself.
Just spoke to Jalen Hurts’ agent, Nicole Lynn, who clarified that while Hurts was up until early Sunday morning getting evaluated at a hospital, he was able to sleep upon rejoining the team and the Eagles set aside a room for him at the stadium. Videos from the stadium show Hurts coming onto the field just before kickoff and he felt rested enough to play.

There also have to be questions for Nick Sirianni and Howie Roseman as to why Jalen Hurts was allowed to play. I understand deferring to the medical staff, but I feel like hearing “he can play, as long as he doesn’t sleep for 36 hours before playing” should sound the alarm.
