More movies: So, Night of the Creeps (1986) still rocks. Just a wonderful awareness of what it is, an incredible leading man, and immensely fun scenes with characters that stand out. I always forget it starts and ends with aliens, because the rest is so good. Thrill me!

Contagion (1987) is so weird, boring, and never answers what the actual contagion is. There are hints, but nothing concrete. Great nudity, mostly from the models, but a few of these actors had long careers. These are standard tenets for Ausploitation films from what I understand.

Project Metalbeast (1995) reminds us not to let the military fuck with Werewolves, but if you do, keep silver around. Hard to find someone to root for here, and the kills are lame. The plot isn’t necessarily confusing, but why they didn’t simplify this a bit is questionable.

LOST MEDIA: In 1993, an animated series titled ESCAPE FROM JURASSIC PARK was in development. It was eventually cancelled before full production; however, not before a lot of work was done, including a pitch trailer. At long last, that trailer has been unearthed.

Movie Catch-up: Poor Anthony Hopkins and Burgess Meredith acted their asses off in Magic (1978), a puppet story based on a book that feels like two movies clashing around good scenes. The director left some stupid stuff in on a whim. Glad to mark it off and never see it again.

Watchers (1988) is an overcomplicated movie about a dog, a beast, and Michael Ironside, who is the best part of the thing. It was originally a Dean Koontz book, and holy shit, they made sequels? It isn’t too bad, but it feels like the ending is a big letdown. Sorry, Corey Haim.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds S4 was unfortunately the most disappointing season of a show I otherwise adore. But the puppets… the dragon… why are we wasting these amazing characters? There are three really good episodes out of ten. It sounds like next season will be better.

Hellraiser: Revival is a mixed bag, but when it comes to the sexual nature of the franchise, this new game gets it. - gametyrant.com/news/hellrais… #hellraiser #sex #revival #clivebarker

I was checking the accuracy of something the other day and discovered I've actually been quoted a couple of times on Wikipedia. Many of my articles have been used as citations/sources for the site in recent years, but I wasn't aware my words were used there. Just kind of neat.

Movie catch-up: Just Play Dead (2026) feels so fast, with too many twists and none that stick. It's a waste of the actors and premise. No one is likeable, and it tries to pull people in with a sexy story, but won’t commit to anything. I hope this bullet dodges you.

If you love dinosaurs, fake American accents, and movies where the mom is the best, The End of Oak Street (2026) is a perfect lost episode of Spielberg’s Amazing Stories. Abrams is paying homage, but has no plans to explain how this story works. I preferred the alternate ending.

Spider-Noir (2026) is an enjoyable retelling with excellent visuals in color or black and white, especially the last episode. Nick Cage is the worst part of the show, not in every scene, but in many, while the rest of the acting is quite solid, and it's a shame we won’t get more.
