That look is pure I already know how this ends. Jackie still carries that quiet menace better than most guys half his age.
That metro station moment hits hard -the Wolf King Tony Leung Ka-fai has just broken free during transport and doesn’t hesitate. One clean, cold stab drops the officer before anyone can even react, then he turns the knife on his own man.
No theatrics, just pure efficiency and zero mercy. It’s the exact point the film stops feeling like a clever cat-and-mouse and becomes something much darker and more personal.
Who else got caught off guard by how ruthless that scene gets?
When I was 23, I worked at a bank in Ohio, and every Friday afternoon, the same customer would come in to deposit $200 into an account that wasn't his.
His name was Raymond. He was in his 50s, always wore a work uniform, and never explained why he was making the deposits.
The first time, I assumed he'd entered the wrong account number. I checked the details with him twice, but he insisted they were correct.
The second Friday, he came back with another $200.
By the sixth week, my supervisor pulled me aside.
“Do you know this man? Because if he's depositing money into somebody else's account every week, there needs to be a legitimate reason.”
I didn't know him beyond his name.
So the next time Raymond came in, I asked politely whether he wanted to set up a recurring transfer instead.
He shook his head.
“No. I need to do it in person.”
I asked if the account belonged to a family member.
He looked at the deposit slip for a moment before answering.
“No. It belongs to the man who got me fired.”
I thought I'd misunderstood him.
Raymond explained that three years earlier, he'd been working as a delivery driver when he........

Instead of comparing yourself with others, learn from them. Let their success inspire you rather than make you feel small. Celebrate their achievements while continuing to work toward your own goals.
You can admire someone else's progress without hating your own position in life. You can be happy for others and still desire more for yourself.🏳️🌈🏳️🌈

They want you to think all hell breaks lose on the cheating soldier, but that simply does not happen. Not in my case, at least, and it wasn't like there wasn't any evidence.
It was around 2004 when my now ex husband finally acknowledged he was cheating on me, by phone, a month after asking for a divorce while home on leave. At the time he had given a bunch of nonsensical reasonings that I never heard ANYONE use as excuses to leave someone, but with the underlying “fell out of love with you" excuse to end our marriage and break apart our family. So when he called, a month after going back, to “warn” me he was not coming home empty handed, that made alot more sense. I guess I had not suspected him of cheating because he always said how nasty the female soldiers he had been around were, and he had not mentioned even having any around. But I had the foresight originally, to imagine it would be pretty difficult to abstain if he were ever placed in a situation where he found himself spending day in and day out with an attractive woman and no wife in sight so we had agreed that he would ask for a transfer if he was even slightly attracted to someone he was assigned to. I just didn't think they had the time for all that, when he was supposed to be running around needlessly shooting innocent civilians with the rest of the soldiers in Iraq.
So when I look at it that way, actually, there is a chance that although he ruined our family, maybe he would have killed more people if he wasn't busy screwing a 23 year old girl. So maybe, lives were saved? One was made, as she had to be sent home early when he got her pregnant. That was why he called, to tell me about his pregnant mistress and rush me getting the divorce done. So the girl basically only spent half a tour over there, yet to this day, about 15 years later, still posts old pictures on FB of her cuddling with the man I was married to at the time in their dessert fatigues, the same couple of photos every now and then, to make it seem like they were over there for years or something. She always changes her profile pic to her holding a gun in front of the flag so she can get all the praise and admiration for her “service" each time she needs an ego boost. She did gain about 100 lbs, but that would be my only recourse to her stealing my husband and then, years later, turning my teenaged girls against me. Only because my ex used to tell me he would leave me if I got fat, and had even used as one of his excuses to leave me that he had thought I would be more of a “trophy wife", not saying that I didn't fulfill the visual aspect, but that I was not ditzy and bubbly like he had envisioned, or more likely that I made him feel like he was not the brains of the outfit because I was much smarter than him. I had to teach him fractions to pass the military exam. Crazy, because if I had not been able to teach him, he would not have gotten in, and we never would have gotten into this mess.
Yeah, no one cares what they did, least of all the military. They are the ones who put political correctness ahead of military marriages to begin with when they allowed a bunch of college-aged girls to join middle-aged, sex-deprived men in our country's self-manufactured war. But they were already putting all of their lives on the line to fulfill the political oil-driven agenda of our leaders, so it isn't really too shocking that they would lump the appeasement of the feminists in with their lack of value for human life.

I found an old photo of my boyfriend kissing a woman.
“Who’s she?” I asked.
He froze. “My ex. That was years ago.”
I zoomed in. The photo was taken last week.
“You’re lying!”
He grabbed my hand. “Baby, please. She’s my wife.”
I stepped back, shaking.
Then he whispered, “But she doesn’t know about you.”
I was about to slap him when my phone rang.
It was his wife.
“Girl, we need to talk,” she said. “I’m pregnant, and that baby is yours to help raise.”
I went completely still.
What did she mean?

In October, my car loan company sent me a letter saying I'd missed three payments and that my car would be repossessed in ten days. I hadn't missed a single one, because I'd set up autopay the day I bought the car. I drove to their office and brought one thing on my phone…

i'm a rural mail truck mechanic, and my one rule is that i never road-test a truck with the customer's mail still inside. forty years, same garage, same coffee can of loose bolts. last tuesday at 6:50am, a letter carrier in a faded blue jacket pulled up with her route truck coughing like an old dog and said, "i need it running by noon. i've got one stop that can't be late. i know you'll want to know why. please don't make me say."...

I have a lowkey unhinged theory (prob wrong since I only watched once) but the Backrooms movie is definitely connected to Spider Man: Brand New Day.
Think about it, the room with Mary’s Still Life looks just like where the scientists kept Jean in that glass room.
There could literally be still lifes of Spidey, Jean, Frank, etc. Also people expecting a straight-up Backrooms horror movie were def disappointed. It felt way more like a psychological thriller that just used the Backrooms as a setting.
I Found the Receipts in Our Shared Account
My wife and I had a joint account for household expenses.
One evening, I reviewed our spending and noticed repeated hotel charges.
At first, I assumed there was a mistake.
Then I saw restaurant bills on dates she had told me she was working late.
I checked the statements again.
The pattern was too consistent to ignore.

My best friend asked me to help her choose a wedding dress while I was still sleeping with her fiancé.
The worst part is that I genuinely wanted her wedding to happen.
I’d been seeing him before he proposed to her. We met through her, and what started as flirting turned into something neither of us was willing to stop.
When he got engaged, he promised me he would end things with her. Instead, he started planning the wedding and telling me he needed time to figure everything out.
I should have walked away.
Instead, I kept seeing him, partly because I loved him and partly because I refused to let her get the happy ending I thought should have been mine.
Then she asked me to be her maid of honor.
I said yes.

I Drive Over With No Pãnties Just So He Can Finish on My Face
I drive to his shitty studio whenever I want. Text him and tell him I’m coming. No pãnties under my skirt. Walk up and get on my knees right away. He likes finishing on my face. It happens a lot. One time he said it feels like college and he’s about to take my virgînity even though we’ve been fûcking for months. I told him to shut up and put his cõck in my mouth.

My best friend was planning to marry a man I knew had cheated on her, and I kept quiet because I wanted her to break up with him for a completely different reason.
Six months earlier, he’d been messaging another woman. I saw the messages myself when he left his phone on the table at my apartment.
I didn’t tell my friend because, honestly, I didn’t think the cheating was the worst part. He treated her like an option, but she was so in love with him that she defended everything he did.
The real problem was that she had started building her entire life around him. She barely had time for me anymore, and whenever I needed her, she was suddenly busy with wedding plans.
So I made a decision.
I would let her marry him, and when his behavior eventually ruined things, she’d finally have to admit I’d been right about him all along.

Last month, my husband admitted that he had been sending money to his ex-girlfriend for almost a year, and what upset me most wasn't even the amount.
We've been married for five years and have a seven-year-old son from my previous relationship whom my husband has helped raise since we got married. We also have a two-year-old daughter together.
My husband has always been generous. He's the type of person who helps relatives with medical bills, buys groceries for struggling friends, and occasionally sends money to people from his hometown who need assistance.
I've never had a problem with that because we generally discuss large financial decisions before making them.
Recently, however, I noticed that our savings weren't growing as quickly as they should have been. We had both agreed to save toward buying a larger home, and we had been making progress for months.
When I asked him about the difference, he said some unexpected expenses had come up.
I accepted the explanation because I knew he'd been helping his younger brother with school fees.
Then, one evening, I was using his laptop to print a document when a message appeared on the screen.
It was from a woman whose name I didn't recognize.
The message said, "Thank you for everything you've done for me this year. I honestly don't know what I would have done without you."
I wasn't trying to investigate his private conversations, but the message caught my attention because it mentioned a transfer he had made that afternoon.
When I asked him who she was, he went completely silent.
Eventually, he told me she was his ex-girlfriend.
I thought he meant he had helped her once during an emergency.
Then he admitted it had been happening almost every month.
