He wasn't "killed". This wasnt an unfortunate event like a road traffic accident. He was MURDERED. Repeatedly stabbed to death in a church by Somalian, Ali Harbi Ali, an Islamic State sympathiser, who should not have been in the country.
Five years ago today, Sir David Amess was killed while serving the people of Southend West. I knew David as a kind, tireless colleague who dedicated his life to public service. His death was a terrible reminder of the risks faced by those in public life, and of our responsibility to ensure that everyone can serve their communities without fear. Today, we remember David’s extraordinary commitment to the people he represented, and the lasting loss felt by his family, friends and all who knew him.

Imagine if, on the anniversary of Hiroshima, Americans marched past Japanese communities waving American flags and denouncing Japan. Or if Britain chose the anniversary of Dresden to stage victory marches through London. We don’t. Those dates are treated with sensitivity because whatever your view of the wider war, the anniversary of mass civilian death is not the day to celebrate. Yet on 7 October — the anniversary of the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust — demonstrators have deliberately chosen to march through London for the Palestinian cause. They do it, simply, because they are utterly repugnant human beings

The Old Cornish Accent: This video is a wonderful view into the old Cornish accent and spirit. This fascinating interview of 77 year old Cornish maid Emanda Billings in 1964 is a great insight into the everyday life of our recent ancestors. She was born in Victorian England (1800s), a world in which we've lost all connection. The Cornish accent (also called Anglo-Cornish or Cornu-English) developed as local Celtic speakers shifted to English between 1300 and 1750, adopting regional West Country English while keeping a strong Brittonic language substrate. ⏳️

More information emerging about the conviction of Del Somerville (jailed for two years for throwing a plastic bottle and telling police officers to 'F**k off' at a protest against the small boats). The court heard that Somerville had played a relatively minor role at the incident, had tried to pull another protester away when he confronted police, actually lived at the marina rather than travelled there for the purpose of protesting, and that the plastic bottle he threw was 'small' or 'empty'. It's impossible, in the context of wider sentencing policy in this country, to avoid the conclusion that the sanction handed down to Somerville amounts to two-tier justice.

Cambridge University's education faculty – former home of Jason Arday – has appointed as assistant research professor who wrote that Muslims should study engineering and computers 'to produce advanced weaponry for Jihad in order that the deen [Islam] may dominate over all other deens.'. Two weeks ago we covered one chapter Ahmed wrote in a Hizb pamphlet – published in 2002, and republished in 2017 (Ahmed was not involved in the republication) – where she attacked ‘western education’ as a ‘threat’ to Muslims, condemned democracy and integration, and criticised British schools for teaching pupils that child marriage is wrong. However, the same pamphlet includes a second, even more radical chapter, co-written by Ahmed and another senior Hizb activist, Nazreen Nawaz, head of its women’s section. This describes Hizb’s plan to create a fully Islamic education system as part of the Islamic dictatorship, the Khilafah, which is its core goal. As the chapter puts it: ‘nothing will be contained within the curriculum that contradicts with Islam, such as the teaching of the ideas of freedom, nationalism, democracy or evolution in a positive light’. ‘Nor can there be any schools established on any other religion, sect or race… Even the non-Muslims need to be educated under the educational curriculum of Islam… by pushing them to think about the correct belief in life.’ ✍️ Andrew Gilligan Article | spectator.com/article/cambri… | @mragilligan

In the 24 months since Labour came to power, we've seen; • Employer National Insurance increased from 13.8% to 15%. • The employer NI threshold cut from £9,100 to £5,000. • Income Tax and National Insurance thresholds frozen until 2031. • Capital Gains Tax increased from 10% and 20% to 18% and 24%. • Business Asset Disposal Relief increased from 10% to 14%, then 18%. • Investors’ Relief increased and its lifetime allowance cut from £10 million to £1 million. • Carried interest taxation increased and moved towards the Income Tax regime. • Dividend tax rates increased by two percentage points. • Savings-income tax rates increased by two percentage points. • Property-income tax rates increased by two percentage points. • Most unused pension funds brought into the Inheritance Tax net. • Agricultural Property Relief restricted. • Business Property Relief restricted. • Inheritance Tax thresholds frozen for longer. • The non-dom regime replaced with a more extensive residence-based system. • VAT imposed on private school fees. • Business-rates relief removed from private schools. • Stamp Duty increased on second homes and buy-to-let properties. • The Furnished Holiday Lettings tax regime abolished. • Pension salary-sacrifice benefits capped at £2,000 before National Insurance applies. • The Cash ISA allowance cut to £12,000 for most under-65s. • A 22% charge introduced on interest from cash held inside non-cash ISAs. • Restrictions introduced on transfers and cash-like holdings within ISAs. • The Energy Profits Levy increased and extended. • Investment allowances for oil and gas producers reduced. • A new Vaping Products Duty introduced. • Tobacco duties increased above inflation. • Vehicle Excise Duty increased for many new cars. • Electric vehicles brought into the Vehicle Excise Duty system. • A new mileage tax announced for electric and plug-in hybrid cars. • Air Passenger Duty increased. • Climate Change Levy rates increased. • Plastic Packaging Tax increased. • A new Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism introduced. • Making Tax Digital extended to more landlords and self-employed people. Together they represent one of the biggest transfers of wealth from households and businesses to the Treasury in decades - with no noticeable improvement in public services. Whether you're a business owner employing staff, a parent paying school fees, a farmer planning succession, an entrepreneur building wealth or simply someone trying to save for retirement... You keep less of what you earn. You keep less of what you invest. You leave less to your family. Death by a thousand cuts is becoming tax policy.

So Britain has put out a message to all economic migrants heading here. That message is you will still receive all the current tax payer funded benefits. But in addition we’re now going to place you in accommodation in better areas of the country.

The parents of 30,000 children have been forced to pull their kids from private school due to Labour imposing VAT on fees, but you will be unsurprised to learn one of them is not lefty Energy Secretary Miatta Fahnbulleh who sends ALL three kids to independents. The Mail on Sunday, which revealed a classic piece of “ do as I say but not as I do” Socialism estimates her bill will be £50K. I reckon it will be nearer £65K depending on the ages of the children. Her pay as a minister probably wouldn’t be enough, so the bill is likely to be shared by her much cleverer husband, a City trader and hedge fund founder. At home he’s not listening to all that Socialist shite from his 46-year-old wife and I presume has insisted they ALL go to private school. In 2024 Ms Fahnbulleh ( who herself went to a private school) hailed the imposition of VAT on private schools. She lives in South East London with her husband and clearly having seen the dreadful state schools in the area decided an independent was the answer. Luckily, after two years of tax increases, she and her husband could still afford it. 30,000 couldn’t.

Exactly the same with biological men in woman’s sport.
Amid the swirl of allegations, what gets lost in the Professor Arday scandal is that other academics would have applied for that position at Cambridge - academics who behaved with integrity and were truthful about their credentials and were doubtless perfectly qualified to do the job. One of these individuals would have been denied the opportunity of a lifetime because the university was more interested in promoting a diversity poster boy. DEI isn't harmless. It can often have negative real-life consequences for those who don't possess the 'right' characteristics. We shouldn't forget that.

This cretin doesn’t know that #RodLiddle was a member of the Socialist Workers Party and the Labour Party. It’s only when these went hard left that he joined the Labour spin off SDP. It’s the same hateful left that ridiculed #annwiddicombe’s murder. They have no shame.

Mohamed Abdulraziq dragged a five-year-old girl off the street and sexually assaulted her. When I referred his sentence to the Government as unduly lenient, the minister disagreed. That minister - Ellie Reeves - has just been made Attorney General. xitter.gq/NJ_Timothy/status/2041…
Mohamed Abdulraziq dragged a little girl off the street and sexually assaulted her. I referred his case to the Attorney General after he was sentenced to only eleven years in prison. He’ll be out in probably seven. Labour say this isn’t unduly lenient.

I am no fan of Refom but every time the @timespolitics @guardian mentions Geroge Cottrell the prefix it with “convicted criminal.”. They must prefix Louie Haigh then with “convicted fraudster.” Not to do so is to show disdain for professional journalism.
